Badminton Villa is a large Victorian family house located in a quiet road on the southern slopes of Bath with magnificent views of the city, yet only a fifteen minutes walk to the city center. It is an established award winning Bed and Breakfast guesthouse with an international reputation. All rooms feature first-class en-suite facilities and are equipped with color TV, hairdryer and a hot drinks tray. They have a free broadband wireless network and parking. St Leonards is an attractive detached Victorian house, which offers bed and breakfast and boasts of a truly impressive view over the Avon Valley from its glorious gardens. All rooms are equipped with modern amenities yet the house still retains something of its Victorian atmosphere. An important thing that should be noted is that beds are wider than the standard British size usually found in Bed and Breakfast accommodation - an important consideration for our American visitors. Greenways is a superbly presented, reasonably priced bed and breakfast. It offers private parking for two cars but there's plenty of on street parking available. Although only having three en suite rooms, every care has been taken with decor and comfort, which puts them on a par with far higher priced accommodation. The city and its attractions are literally a ten-minute walk away with no gradients to make life difficult. Budding 'Captains' could even hire a boat from the nearby Victorian boating station and glide into the city in style! Pets are welcome by arrangement and vegetarians are catered for. It should be noted that this establishment is closed for Christmas but does offer short break rates throughout the rest of the year.

After you've finished with sightseeing, shopping or visiting the theatre, why not come back and sit quietly in the residents lounge or out on the floodlit gazebo.

Centrally situated, Dukes is a very elegant Georgian town house hotel built somewhere around 1780 and is within a short stroll of the famous Pulteney Bridge, the Abbey and the Roman Baths. Recently refurbished, Dukes offers comfortable accommodation and all rooms have en-suite facilities. This is a hotel that is especially suitable for those wishing to explore the city on foot. The Town House is situated in the heart of the city and surrounded by buildings of its own style and age. From here it is only a short stroll to the Royal Crescent where traffic is no longer allowed. Although boasting only three bedrooms, both are en suite and because it is only a small establishment, the owners pride themselves on offering a personal and friendly service. A short stroll around the corner and you will find yourself in the heart of antiques land. From then on everything you may want to see is within easy reach. This is a small, select establishment so is therefore of interest to those who like to view their host as a friend. The house itself is Victorian and fortunately positioned in the attractive area of Bathwick, a place where streets of period houses overlook the city centre. Guests can wander in mature, secluded gardens and take in the wonderful views over the city, which is within walking distance for those disinclined to take the car. Bath University is not too far away for those with business there. Please note that Ravenscroft is closed over the Christmas period.

This establishment offers great value for money and is situated in a fine area of the city, just a flat walk from all the attractions. Like a large number of other smaller establishments, Ravenscroft is closed over the Christmas period.

Set in attractive gardens with panoramic views, this establishment is situated close enough to the city centre to be convenient. It is in a residential area of quality Victorian houses. A ten minute walk will bring you into the heart of the city but do get a taxi back as the hill isn't easy to tackle after a long day. All rooms are en suite and furnished with quality antiques and superior furnishing fabrics. There are ground floor rooms suitable for the disabled and those with mobility problems. Golf and horse-riding can be arranged for those who want a diversion from sightseeing and there is a four-poster bed available for those with a more romantic disposition. Breakfast is 'as you choose' from the large buffet provided and can be accompanied by a traditional English cooked breakfast. Newspapers and unlimited tea and coffee are provided for those who prefer a slower start to their day.

Right opposite the railway station, The Royal has catered for rail travelers since Victorian times. Rumor has it that Queen Victoria herself slept here.
