I often refer to Taco Station as a hidden gem in the city. Located in the historic downtown region, the food and decor are both amazing. They have a large menu of authentic Mexican items and everyone I take loves the food. The prices are reasonable. This is a great teppan grill type restaurant, in where the chef prepares your meal right in front of you. I usually come here for lunch simply because the prices are more reasonable and about half the cost of the price of dinner. A very fun place to come with a group of people because it is ultimately like a show.

Coffee Depot is an amazing coffee shop in my mind. Not only is the coffee delicious, it is also a very large coffee shop with a library/lounge and a large sitting room. It is a great place to get to know someone.

This is a very romantic and elegant restaurant. Last year, I came here for Valentine's Day and not only was the setting and lighting very romantic, there was also a live piano player. This is definitely not a casual restaurant and meant for a night out.

I have been coming here ever since it opened a few years ago. Honestly, it is an incredibly authentic Irish Pub and coming on Friday and Saturday nights are great because they have a live Irish band playing after 10pm. I have always ordered the "Bangers N Champs" and it is amazing!

The first time we went I ordered a chicken Gordita and the serving size was perfect for me, it was alot bigger than I expected so I recommend that you only order one item per person unless you have a ravenous appetite! My husband ordered a huarache, which was an oblong shaped tortilla fried and then topped with green chile sauce, your choice of meat, queso fresco, cilantro and onion...mmmm the combination was delicious. They had a great choice of beverages including sodas, and fresh fruit drinks. I decided to have a strawberries with cream dessert that rocked my socks. I would definitly try this place again...they have more than one location and you can view the menu online. Happy Eats this place is one of my fav Authentic Mexican food in SOCAL....

Souped-up and spiffed-up cars from the 50s, 60s, 70s that were idolized in Beach Boys songs have Root Beer Floats and Double-Decker Hamburgers on the trays attached to their windows, as the rest of us wonder how they get those cars fixed if they break down. It's a fun place to be, though, especially if you like loud mufflers and exhaust fumes. The Beach Boys obviously did.
