In Ho Chi Minh City, enjoy a guided, walking sightseeing tour of the famous and historic landmarks. Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the war. Take a short flight to Danang and journey to Hoi An. On the way to Hoi An, visit China Beach, landing point for US soldiers during the Vietnam War. Travel north over scenic Hai Van Pass, considered to be one of the most scenic in Vietnam, to Hue, one of Vietnam’s former capitals. Fly to Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital, and enjoy a performance of the famous water puppets as well as visits to the One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Presidential Palace, and “Hanoi Hilton.” Also visit the ancient Temple of Literature, over 900 years old and Hanoi’s first university. From Hanoi, head to Ha Long Bay for a cruise among its limestone islands and many caves. Next, travel to Siem Reap, Cambodia, before viewing the highlight of your vacation: the spectacular temple ruins of Angkor. Visit the most famous temple, Angkor Wat, honoring the Hindu god Vishnu.
