Port of Rotterdam

The harbor in Rotterdam is second largest in the world after Shanghai. Just that fact makes it a place you have to see when you’re here. If you like, you can take a harbor cruise to see Rotterdam from the seaside.

Museums

Rotterdam has a vast selection of museums. If you like photographing, you should head to the Netherlands Photomuseum, and if you like art you should visit the Kunsthal. In Rotterdam you can find everything from historical museums to modern art museums.

Euromast & Space Tower

This is an amazing experience. You are seated in a glass elevator and are taken 185 meters above the town. The view over Rotterdam and the harbor is incredible! I would say this is a must when you are here! If you like (and have the money) there are two restaurants half way up the tower where you can get something to eat while enjoying the astonishing view.

Show-cube museum

For people interested in architecture, this is a great attraction. An architect named Piet Blom designed these very weird cube formed houses. One house, called the show-cube is now a museum and is open for the public. It’s very interesting to see how it looks like in these cube formed houses. Well worth a visit!

Diergaarde Blijdorp, Rotterdam Zoo

This zoo is fantastic. They constructed it so when you walk through it, you walk through different parts of the world. The most incredible here was the oceanium, the water world. In here you can see everything from sharks and tropical fishes to otters. Great experience and highly recommended for those who like zoos.
