Tower of London

Tower of London, the oldest palace, fortress and prison in Europe is a must when you visit. It’s situated in east London. It is beautiful and it has a magical feeling about it. You can easily walk around for half a day in the area, just taking in the atmosphere.

Tower bridge

The tower bridge is an old bridge leading to the Tower of London. It’s an old fascinating construction. If you have the chance, try to be there when it raises to let ships pass, this is a remarkable sight.

Houses of Parliament

It’s a strange feeling when you stand in the hall of houses of parliament in London. It’s from here the British parliament runs the country. Laws are being made while you’re watching and debates are in full motion. You should make sure to take a tour to get the most out of it. (This is only possible during summer though.)

Buckingham palace

This is where the Queen lives. I can really recommend that you take an organized tour of the palace. The most exciting thing here is actually not the Palace in itself, but the changing of the Guard, I really recommend watching it if you have the possibility. (Just during summer)

Big Ben

I think everyone knows what Big Ben is and what it looks like. You have surely seen it on TV several times. But there is a special feeling of seeing it for real, and you really shouldn’t miss to see it while you’re in London.

Hyde park

My favorite park in London. It’s one of the largest parks in London, and most famous for its “speakers’ corner”, an area that is appointed for public speaking. You can see a lot of squirrels in the park, they are so cute and they are used to visitors, so you can come very close to them.
