DAXx Mainhattan's Bar

The Intercontinental hotel bar recently underwent a major face lift. Exclusive and trendy, with a New York look, DAXx Mainhattan's Bar is a popular hangout for well-dressed business executives. All the cocktails: be they alcoholic or non-alcoholic: are expertly mixed. Hot and cold beef, chicken and seafood snacks are served throughout the week. There is a delicious and tasty seafood buffet and  a fabulous brunch with live jazz once every week. Their collection of whiskeys is extensive and a must try.

Long Island City Lounge

Wine and dine with the rich and elegant as you enjoy the fine view from the terrace at the Long Island City Lounge: a yacht club in the heart of the city. Host events, meetings, parties and much more. crunchy salads, delectable and finely cooked seafood and meat dominate the fare. Enjoy fabulous and exotic cocktails at the bar as you munch on their mouthwatering cakes. Palast Bar

Situated in the basement of the Tigerpalast Cabaret Theater, this American-style bar-cum-restaurant is popular with actors and theater-goers as well as the occasional showbiz personality. The interior of the Palast-Bar is classy and furnished with grey leather chairs. The bar contains an immense selection of over 800 different drinks, which does not make choosing easy. Hungry guests can dig into fine gourmet dishes such as Vegetable Paella with Saffron and other exotic dishes. Prices are at the upper end of the scale, but bearable for such a classy establishment.

Das 21. Jahrhundert

This stylish bar and restaurant seems to be crowded every day. The interiors of Das 21. Jahrhundert are modern with lots of steel and glass décor. The bar area is located on three different levels. Many candles and accessories can be found on the small tables and in the restaurant area. The guests are young and fashionable. At the weekend, reservations are recommended. Usually the DJ zooms with hip-hop and house music in the evenings. Check website for exact timings.

Mosebach

This is a simply furnished, family-like restaurant that serves down-to-earth but nonetheless modern cuisine. It's a real Frankfurt regulars' haunt! Quality at reasonable prices is the key to this successful place. A lot of the guests live in the surrounding neighborhoods and return time and time again. The Mosebach passes the 'fried potato' test (a local delicacy) with flying colors and the other meals on the menu also pay tribute to steadfast German cuisine. Balsamico Vinegar with Chicory and the like further serve to demonstrate that there is such a thing as nouvelle German cuisine.

22nd Lounge & Bar

22nd Lounge & Bar, located on the 22nd floor of the Eurotheum, soaring way above the Alte Oper is definitely the place to go in the city of Frankfurt. The laid-back atmosphere with an extraordinary view of Mainhattan, accompanied by cool jazz and live entertainment, will make your evening in pure luxury a delight. The lounge, which is located inside the Innside Hotel, offers a large selection of cocktails as well as cigars that you can enjoy in black leather arm chairs. Lucky's Manhattan

Lucky's Manhattan is a modern bar that exudes a very friendly vibe. This is a great place to socialize with young people and local regulars. Café Hauptwache

This former police station is one of Frankfurt's best-known landmarks. In the 18th Century, the square-shaped, Baroque building with its columned arcades was built as a police station and prison, when it housed many famous but reluctant guests (such as the councilor Johannes Erasmus Senckenberg and the legendary robber Schinderhannes). With a rich history behind it, the Café Hauptwache now attracts guests with hearty local and international fare and delectable desserts. People watch while seated in the outdoor area in the summer while you sip cold drinks and juices. The space can also be used to host business or private events.

Café Bar Restaurant Oscar's

Although it is also popular with business people and hotel guests, the Frankfurter Hof's hotel bar is renowned as a high society hangout. The rich and the beautiful meet at Café Bar Restaurant Oscar's for a cocktail at the bar or to dine at the beautifully laid tables on gourmet dishes and fine local specialties like rib eye steak, prawns and rocket salad. There is also an excellent wine list, although you may have to pay through your nose to enjoy the privilege.

Cantina Mescal City

The flowing Latin music, festive decor, and authentic Mexican dishes here will make you think you're suddenly in Mexico. Actually, you're in Cantina Mescal City: one of Frankfurt's hippest bars, as well as one of the best Mexican restaurants. Mexican-inspired cocktails abound, though watch out- they certainly pack a punch. It is recommended that you book a table in advance, as the wait can be long.

Sansibar

Located in heart of the financial district of Frankfurt at the Japan Centre, the Sansibar is a great place to relax at, meet up with friends or just grab a drink or two. The place is designed with an oriental and jungle like theme. Considered one of the city's hippest clubs the music here is great with people thronging the dance floors. The crowds here are full of style so don't forget to dress up next time you decide to go there. The Sansibar also has some great musical performances lined up from time to time.

Buena Vista

The Buena Vista bar in Frankfurt has been celebrated for its flawless fusion of the modern amenities and services people expect in a bar today. Expect a vibrant, and authentic Latin ambience. The Mojitos are a favorite, but if they are too strong try the many Cachaca-based cocktails. Central and South American specials like enchiladas and churasco are also available.
