Israel Museum

This is a HUGE place. Even though there are renovations going all the time there are always things to see. The best are the Dead Sea Scroll Exhibit. Remember to pick up your head set so that you know what you are looking at.

The Bible Lands Museum

An amazing collection of artifacts that take you back in time. The arrangement of the exhibition makes for fluid movement through the museum. Downstairs is an area that is great for parties and weddings.

Tower of David Museum

Showing the history all the way back to the Ottoman Era, the Tower of David Museum is an amazing way to see the history of Jerusalem. In summer there are many tourists and so you might want to get there early in the morning.

The Herzl Museum, Jerusalem

This museum holds the roots of Zionism. A great place to learn about the father of this great modern nation. The only thing I would say is not to go during peak season as there are too many tourists.

Ammunition Hill Memorial and Museum

Here you can run in the preserved fortifications and trenches of the Six Day War in 1967. There are often school trips here and you might find yourself among a bunch of kids playing war and running through the trenches, however it is an amazing place of history and worth the visit.
