Parlament

Hungarian Parliament building is the place that meets the National Assembly, is one of the most beautiful buildings in Europe and the third legislative building the world's largest hosting a national parliament. National Assembly of Hungary has decided to build this imposing clear in 1880, almost a decade and a half after the compromise with leaders of the Habsburgs. Plan building that was used for building was designed by Imre Steindl, a professor at the Technical University of Budapest, and construction began in 1885

Citadela

Gellert Hill is a large rock, high rises 140 meters above the Danube in Buda. According to legend witches came to the hill every night and went back a man. Gellert Hill and was named after one of Bishop Gellert who came to Hungary in Italy at the request of King Saint Stephen, the Hungarian Christian to them. Some pagans put him in a barrel, bishop and threw him on the hill in the Danube. A large statue which is holding a cross in his right hand is on the north-east of the hill, facing Elizabeth Bridge

Royal Palace

The Royal Palace was destroyed and rebuilt many times. King Bela IV started building the palace of the XIII century by the Mongol invasion. Original palace was built in Gothic style, and continued to be extended for 300 years. Golden Age of the palace was during the reign of King Matthias. It was totally destroyed in 1686 when the Habsburg army liberated Buda from the Ottoman occupation.

Fisherman's Bastion

Ca parte a lucrarilor de renovare ale cartierului ce gazduieste Palatul Regal din Budapesta, a fost construit si Bastionul Pescarilor in anul 1905. Exista doua explicatii despre originea numelui bastionului. Unii oameni spun ca o piata de peste se afla in apropiere in Evul Mediu si de aici se trage si denumirea bastionului. O alta explicatie porneste de la presupunerea ca breasla pescarilor a aparat aceasta parte a zidului castelului din Budapesta. In ciuda faptului ca este numit un bastion, de fapt constructia este o terasa de unde privelistea este uimitoare.
