Denny Pond

Denny Pond is a great place to camp with the family. We used to go there as children every summer. It is in the middle of the Northern Maine Woods. The thing I always remember is the spectacularly clean outhouse on top of the mountain that overlooks the lake. There is always a clean scent, fresh toilet paper, and wash for your hands. You have to go to the top of the trail to find it, but after 5 days of camping or even more, it is well worth it! A hidden gem!

Mai Tai Restaurant

Not only will you get the best Happy Hour specials but you get a sparkling clean bathroom in Northern Maine. It has warm hand towels on a warming rack that are changed every 15 minutes. You also get a splash of cologne before you walk out the door. It is one of the best public restrooms ever.

Bedford Village Inn

Last summer we ate at the Bedford Village Inn and the woodwork in the men's bathroom was unbelieveable. The wood is at least 200 years old and is still in mint condition. The toilets are great and the stalls are very unique. The bathroom takes you back 200 years. While you are there you have to eat in the restaurant as well.

Irving Rest Stop

The rest room is clean and has a shower that you pay 50 cents to use if you need it. This is great for those weeks in the woods and you can get clean before you go home. I last went there in the Spring of 2008 after weeklong fishing trip and loved the fact that I could shower. You can also stop and get a Subway sandwich on the way out.

Common Man Restaurant

The food and service in this restaurant are to die for. The thing that always stands out about the restroom is the fact that it is handmade soaps and the sinks are made from the 1800s that they use there. The decor is full of antiques and you have interesting facts to read on the wall as you use the urinals. Next time I go - I am gonna take some pictures. Haven't been back since Father's Day of 2009 - great bathroom and restaurant to boot!
