Ninh Binh bike tour takes you to the richest local village in the north of Vietnam. You will see a lot of farmers working hard in the vivid field. And then taking a boat trip brings you to the riverside with great mulberry fields like nowhere else in Vietnam. Ninh Binh is home of Buddhism, some of the oldest and the most famous pagodas is Bich Dong (interesting Pagoda was built into the caves)

Tam Coc is known to travelers as Viet Nam's Ha Long Bay without water. Ha Long Bay on the rice paddies (a striking resemblance to Guilin and Yangshuo in China). Tam Coc has huge rock formation jutting out of rice fields. Tam Coc means ‘Three Cave’.

Mua Cave (Cave of Dance) is very impressive with small grove of trees, but the main attraction is a 500-step trek to the pagoda at the top where there’s a simple altar to Quan Âm (Goddess of Mercy). Really spectacular views including Tam Coc cave (see where the tour boats go! )

Hoa Lu has an interesting historical twist. Hoa Lu was the capital of Vietnam during the Dinh (968-980) and early Le (980-1009) dynasties. Atmosphere in the temple is evocative of the heyday of the royal citadel with palaces; pavilions and temples which existed thousands of years ago. It is a remaining evidence of the golden age of the land that three feudal dynasties of Vietnam

13h30: Ride on bike to visit Bich Dong pagoda, small hike up to see picturesque

Cuc Phuong National Park

CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK

Cuc Phuong National Park is one of Vietnam’s most important protected areas. Though wildlife has suffered a precipitous decline in VietNam in recent decades, the park’s 222 square Km of primary tropical forest remains home to an amazing variety of animal and plant life: 307 species of birds, 133 species mammal, 122 species of reptile, 2000 plant species and counting.

Excellent hiking opportunities abound in the park and we will walk to see Primate Rescue Center where some native animals-deer, monkeys, civets, gibbons & langurs, and another short trail leads to a steep stairway up to the archaeologically significant cave of Prehistoric man, after that walk to the massive 1000 year-old ‘Big Tree’ (Tetrameles nudiflora).
