Chinatown

Chinatown in is situated in the city centre, just behind Piccadilly bus station. It is a great place to buy cheap good food and has a bunch of nifty little shops that sell jewelry and other goods. If it's good Chinese food you're after, you can try one of the bigger restaurants like Little Yang Sing, Pacific or New Emperor. The menus vary between restaurants, so it's best to take a look at the outside menu to see what's on offer. Prices are usually about £5 for a main meal

Museum Of Science And Industry

Simply the best museum in Manchester. It celebrates the fact that Manchester was the first industrial city in the UK and offers in depth detail of Manchester's rise thanks to the cotton industry during the 18th century. Admission is free and special exhibitions are hosted regularly

Thanks to the recent £35m of funding received Manchester Art Gallery has been able to host some very interesting and exciting exhibitions recently and is planning on more in the near future. If you're coming with children who are less interested in art, there is also a play area to keep them occupied while you surround yourself with what Manchester Art Gallery has to offer
