Bracciano
One of Lazio's most beatiful lakes . You can relax around the lake swim wind surf or just find a great spot to eat and enjoy the area. Bracciano's massive castle, also called Castello Orsini Odescalchi is well worth the trip inside. This is where peopel like Tom Cruise Martin Scorsese and Isabella Rosselini got married.If you are spending time in the Bracciano area, consider visiting the other lakeshore town of Anguillara. Anguillara is picturesquely located on a sloping headland, with a fortress, a medieval historic centre and 16th-century town gates. Apparently a miracle took place in the lakeside church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in 1976: a statue of the Madonna moved her eyes

Via Flaminia/GRA/exit Cassia bis Veietana direction Viterbo/Uscita Cesano/Cesano - follow the signposts Bracciano (Roma GRA-Bracciano about 30 minutes)
Metro (subway/underground) line B in direction of Laurentina, get off at Piramide (Ostiense station) and take the regional railway line Line fm3 (trains to Viterbo or Bracciano)
Cerveteri is one of Italy's great Etruscan cities that can be dated back to 9th Century BC.
Cerveteri is often called a "city of the dead." The most famous attraction of Cerveteri is the Necropoli della Banditaccia, which has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site The mounds are circular structures built in tuff, and the interiors, carved from the living rock, house a reconstruction of the house of the dead. In the fifth century, tombs formed literal streets of the dead.
Relics from the necropolis are displayed at the Museo Nazionale Cerite, Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore right in the center of Town.. The museum, housed within the ancient walls of Ruspoldi Castle, is open Tuesday to Sunday 8:30am to 7:30pm. Stop by the Cavallino Bianco for one of the Best meals in Lazio.
You can reach Cerveteri by bus or car. If you're driving, head out Via Aurelia, northwest of Rome, for 45km (28 miles).
By public transport, take Metro Line A in Rome to the Lepanto stop; from Via Lepanto,COTRAL buses leave for Cerveteri from the Lepanto stop of Metro line A, with service every 40 minutes or so during the day. The ride takes about 70 minutes. Once you're at Cerveteri, it's a 2km (1 1/4-mile) walk to the necropolis; follow the signs pointing the way.
Tofla is a short 12 miles from Bracciano and it a wonderful hilltop town with stunning veiws of the country side and sea.Folklore is still alive and it plays a very special role since tied to old traditions being a genuine expression of popular essence, an all festivities and events. Don't miss August season : In Tolfa "Prosciutto" (ham) festival celebrated on the Sunday previous August Bank Holiday (Ferragosto) where other local typical products can be found. The "butteri" (horse shepherds) tournament begins the first Sunday of August and protracts with a vaniety of event all rnonth long.Tolfa leather saddles are world famous for their hand made craftsmanship which hasn't changed in centuries.
