Sushi Tei

The atmosphere of the place and the delicious sushi worth the money you’re paying. I love coming here despite the fact that we have to queue and sometimes it can be quite a long wait. The fresh made sushi that rolls by as you chat with your family and friends either with wine or sake or the hot or cold green tea. However, sometimes the place is so crowded that we have to work a bit harder in getting the waitress attention. But, a must go for those who enjoys sushi outside of Japan.

warung steak

There are many Waroeng Steaks scattered in most major cities in Indonesia nowadays, but there's nothing to beat going to the original Waroeng Steak in Yogyakarta, Central Java. This is the best value steaks, for me, although I'm a woman, I'd usually order two steaks because the serving is big but you would want to eat more in Waroeng Steak. Accompanied with its avocado juice or special strawberry shake, enjoy the local or imported sirloin steak. From normal steak to tuna steak, although for me personally the sauce of the tuna steak doesn’t taste as delicious as its pepper sauce but for each to its own.

Laksa Cibinong

Laksa is originally a traditional food of Betawi people, the native of Jakarta. One of the best tastes Laksa you can eat is near Cibinong market. Don’t go up the flyover to go to Jakarta but take the left road and the restaurant is right there. It’s a small restaurant but the Laksa is five stars Laksa in the world. With Emping, crackers or chips from a particular fruit and soft drink or hot tea, you will taste the richness of the coconut milk and the herbs and spices used in it.

Nasi Uduk Ala Kebon Kacang

Nasi Uduk Ala Kebon Kacang

In a T-junction among pretty narrow streets, after the sun sets the activities start. The smell of fried chicken and the richness of the rice cooked with coconut milk and wrapped in banana leaves which is known as Nasi Uduk, another Betawian traditional food. Eaten with spicy peanut sauce and hot fried chicken or fried tempe or tofu in the hot Jakarta’s night. Another dish to temp our senses and satisfy our hunger.
