Ronda, Spain

Rhonda is a short drive from nearly anywhere along the Costa Del Sol. Head north from coast and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the drive. Rhonda is a great day trip while visiting Southern Spain.
Once in Rhonda, park anywhere and start to explore. While in Rhonda, I especially enjoyed the handcrafted table linens for which this town is famous.

Gibraltar, Spain

While in the Costa Del Sol for holiday, head to Gibraltar for a day trip. Gibraltar, actually, part of the UK and not Spain, offers some of the most spectacular views from anywhere in Southern Spain.

Be sure to bring your passport with you while heading there for the day, as you will go through passport control. Once there, head straight for the central part of town. Enjoy shopping, or window shopping, along the main pedestrian areas of Gibraltar. You will not be disappointed with this excursion as a day trip.

Puerto Banús, Marbella, Spain

While on holiday in the Costa Del Sol, Puerto Banus offers one of the most spectacular marinas along the entire coast. Located between Marbella and Malaga, Puerto Banus is a “must see” place along the Costa Del Sol.

The marina can be found by following well marked signs from all directions. Once at the marina be sure to try some of the ice-cream from the local cafes.

Alhambra Palace, Spain

Southern Spain offers one the most recognizable palaces in the world; the Alhambra located in Granada. The road signs to drive to Granada and the Alhambra are well marked on the highways. Once in Granada head straight for the Palace. The Moorish-style palace offers an excellent peak in to Spain’s Moorish connection.

Any time of year is great to visit the Alhambra. If going in winter/fall be sure to bring jackets as it will be cold while touring the palace.

The Beaches of Costa del Sol, Spain

The Costa del Sol, Spain is known for beaches. Beautiful sun and warm weather are the primary reason vacationers come from all over the globe to Southern Spain.

The beaches along the coast are all well marked. Many beaches are connected to fabulous marinas and boardwalks to further take in the spectacular views. With the backdrop of rugged mountains, there is no wonder why Costa del Sol is such an attraction.
