Kuplung

Kuplung, the clutch, is housed in a former car repair hall, though you'd never be able to tell. It serves as an art workshop for theaters, movies, and many other performances. Come nightfall it converts into one of the most crowded underground bars in town. The warehouse-like space is fully utilized as a concert hall, an exhibition area, and a beautiful bar where, despite the live DJs, you will feel like you are in an enclosed market. Don't be disappointed when you find a normal house at number 46. Simply enter through the black door and be amazed by the scenery!

Godot Gallery

Godot is a bar, a café, a gallery, and stand up comedy club, 4 in 1! It's a great option for breakfast or lunch combined with a good exhibition in the gallery next door, or for having a beer and a laugh with your mates at the evening comedy shows. Check the website for actual programs and book your table well in advance as it's a popular venue. The menu includes crispy sandwiches as well as good old Hungarian meat dishes that you may wash down with one of their specialty lemonades. Besides all this, there is free WIFI, a hair dresser upstairs and many cool interior design shops nearby on Király street so you can easily organize an entire day's program with Godot as a starting point!

Papp László Budapest Sportaréna

A mere four years after the original Budapest Sportarena burned to the ground in 1999, the new and improved arena opened up. Named after the famous boxer Papp László, the arena is a start-of-the-art venue for a variety of events, such as concerts, conferences, exhibitions, and of course, sports, including "basketball and handball championships, tennis and gymnastics competitions, ice hockey matches and athletics events, as well as spectacular sports events like basketball shows, ice theatre, motor-cross, jet-skiing, surfing competitions and presentations."

Orokmozgo Filmmuzeum

This is the Hungarian home of Fellini and Hitchcock. However, there's lots more on offer at this house of the Hungarian Film Archive. Thematic film weeks, and mini-festivals are often held here. The tickets are cheap at 300-400 ft. This is a place that film buffs won't want to miss.
