The coast of Galicia is notable for its irregular shape, full of capes and islands nearby. Thanks to the lighthouses fishermen, sailors, pirates all were guided by its lights and saved of these brave and sometimes terrific Atlantic waters that many years ago were called The end of the world.

Lighthouse of Cabo Silleiro

This is a rectangular light that can be seen 64 miles away. Its surroundings are a stunning viewpoint at 85 meters above the sea , you can see from there Portugal or the Cies Islands.

Lighthouse of Cape Fisterra

Cape Fisterra is located in the most western point of Europe. Its name in Latin means end of the land, was given by the Romans who thought that here was hiding the sun each day and ending the world, and the sea was infested of sea monsters. Fisterra is important because it is the end of the Camino de Santiago, where pilgrims come to burn the clothes that wore during the pilgrimage, to be purified. The lighthouse is an octagonal structure is visible at a distance of 80 km.

Hercules Tower

This amazing lighthouse was built in 2th Century A.C. and it is the symbol of its city, A Coruňa.

Says the legend that Hercules buried a giant and then built the tower over him. It was amazing climb the ladder inside the tower to reach its magnificent viewpoint over 60 meters tall where you can enjoy an incredible view of this coast.

Lighthouse of Pancha island

Ribadeo is in the eastern limits of Galicia's coast. We are now in the Cantabric sea. The light house is located in a small island attached to the coast by a bridge. This a kind of magical place where you can feel like floating in the middle of the sea.
