Fraser Place Queens Gate

A modern hotel with a bright and fresh ambience, Fraser Place Queens Gate consists of self-contained units for up to six people, combining the privacy of an apartment with the services of a hotel. There is no minimum limit on the length of stay, but the nightly rate reduces for longer occupancies. The IKEA style apartments range from those with one bedroom to penthouses with roof gardens. Fraser's is located within a few minutes' walk of Gloucester Road tube station, and near to the museums and shops of Kensington and Knightsbridge.

London Town Hotel

A recently refurbished hotel whose reasonably central location permits easy access to central London, the Earl's Court and Olympia exhibition centres, and transport links to Heathrow airport which is ideal as a stop-off point if you're travelling through London. The hotel is very much a typical B&B style place, and is very flexible in arrangements for families. Décor and facilities aren't really up-to-date, but it is an excellent budget accommodation option, and it isn't too far from the museums and shops in South Kensington.

Lord Jim Hotel

A stylish hotel in a quiet, tree-lined avenue, the Lord Jim is comfortable and reasonably priced. Located in an attractive, up-beat and cosmopolitan part of Earls Court. The area is well supplied with transport links both to central London and to Heathrow Airport plus the Olympia and Earl's Court Exhibition Halls, and the museums of South Kensington are all within easy reach. The area itself is lively with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes to while away the hours.

London Lodge Hotel

The recently refurbished London Lodge Hotel was originally built in 1880 as two distinctive and gracious Victorian residences. Situated in the quiet and historic Kensington area of London, this small townhouse hotel has a style and charm all of its own. Each floor has an individual color scheme, each room is uniquely decorated, and all feature Louis XVI style furniture. Start your day off with a hearty breakfast at the in house Stephanie's Restaurant and Bar, where you can get a traditional English breakfast. The executive rooms' whirlpool spas are a perfect way to unwind after a day at the historical Kensington Palace, Notting Hill's colorful and vibrant Portobello Street Market, and the myriad of museums within 1km of London Lodge Hotel's doorstep.

The Vicarage Hotel

Located just off thriving Kensington Church Street, The Vicarage Hotel occupies a beautiful Victorian town house that offers a charming and relaxed base for your stay in London. Although the bustle of London isn't far away as the shops and restaurants of Kensington are close at hand, as is Portobello Road Market. The hotel is geared towards leisure guests, and even offers some rooms for families of four. Decor is basic, but perfectly adequate for the reasonable prices. Be aware that not all rooms are en suite, so be sure to ask what the bathroom facilities for your room will be.

Quality Crown Hotel Kensington

Formerly the Comfort Inn, Quality Crown Hotel Kensington is centrally located in the neighborhood. Its your average outfit with clean rooms decorated in the expected nondescript hotel room fashion, which provides best of the amenities. Since it's close to prime shopping destinations and is within easy reach of the shops of Knightsbridge, Oxford Street etc, the hotel is a good place to rest your head after some hectic shopping around the city.

Garden Court Hotel

Built in 1870, The Garden Court Hotel is a friendly, comfortable townhouse, found in a peaceful garden square in an affluent area of central London. Rooms are compact but in such a location most of your time will be spent exploring the joys of the capital. Staff are friendly and happy to assist with any questions you may have. Breakfast can be tailored to your specifications and there is a lounge room to mingle with fellow guests. Its location is ideal for tourists, being within easy reach of all of the attractions of this popular part of the capital, including many museums, Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, and the famous, hectic Portobello Road Market. Dining out is no problem as Whiteleys shopping center, complete with many restaurant chains, is minutes away.

Kensington Court Hotel

Situated between the shops and museums of Kensington and the exhibition centres and restaurants of Earl's Court, this purpose built, friendly hotel is an ideal place for travellers to rest their weary feet. Not that you'll be too worn out. The hotel is only a short tube ride away from all the attractions found at the heart of the trendiest city on the planet. It has a coffee bar, lounge and air-conditioned restaurant, and all the rooms are spacious and well suited to families.

Merlyn Court Hotel

A family-run bed and breakfast located in a quiet Edwardian square off Earl's Court Road, the Merlyn Court Hotel has retained much of its original style and atmosphere. It is within easy reach of the museums and restaurants of Kensington, Hyde Park and Notting Hill. This is a comfortable, attractively decorated hotel that aims to provide reasonably priced accommodation in a prime part of the capital. The staff are friendly, and multilingual to an exceptional degree. Almost all rooms have en-suite facilities, and some are large enough to accommodate families.

The Milestone Hotel & Suites

In the midst of bustling High Street Kensington, and directly opposite Kensington Palace, is this 1880s building, a luxurious collection of two bedroom apartments, luxury rooms and suites, all individually designed. Whether you opt for the traditional English or the safari suite, you will find yourself in elegant (although sometimes a bit over-the-top) surroundings that also incorporate high-tech gadgetry and unparalleled service. In what the Red Carnation hotel group would probably say is their tradition, DVD/CD players, robes, Penhaligon toiletries and fresh flowers are provided in all rooms. In-room express checkout and private car service in the hotel's Bentley are also available. The hotels dining facilities include casual dining and high tea in the Park Lounge, drinks and snacks at Stables bar and traditional cuisine at Cheneston's restaurant. Picnic baskets to be enjoyed in Kensington Gardens or Hyde Park can be prepared. The oak-panelled Windsor Suite can accommodate up to 50 people, depending on arrangement, and has a private kitchen. There's also the Map Room (up to six people) and the Conservatory (maximum 12 people). Fax machines, copiers, ISDN points, audio visual equipment, secretarial support and banqueting facilities available. With so much to look forward to at this hotel, it is simply a fine combination of ultimate comfort and creative flair.

The Gainsborough Hotel

Built in 1800 and recently renovated, The Gainsborough is named after the artist, whose portrait of the Duchess of Richmond hangs in the living room. The hotel is in easy reach of central London, and within walking distance of the museums of South Kensington, the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park. The staff are friendly, and there is a comfortable and stylish bar (called Picasso, appropriately enough), restaurant (breakfast only), coffee shop and a nightclub next door. Altogether, a fine and discreet establishment.

Jarvis Kensington Hotel

This elegant Victorian townhouse is close to the Royal Albert Hall, the South Kensington Museums, Kensington Palace and the Gardens and Hyde Park. All bedrooms are en suite and 11 new bedrooms were added in December 1998 offering extra facilities. The hotel is very welcoming to families, and a concierge facility is available to help you plan your stay in London. As its located down a side street, there's not too much noise to worry about either, which is somewhat of a rarity in London.
