Avonmore Hotel

Avonmore Hotel is a small, privately owned hotel, a former winner of the Automobile Association National Awards for the Best Private Hotel in London. A good compromise if you want to be within easy reach of central London, but don't want the noise that comes with it, Avonmore is your best deal. The Victorian house has been modernised inside and the hotel is reasonably priced, offering average facilities and a very friendly staff.

Queens Park Hotel

The medium-sized Queens Park Hotel features 116 en-suite rooms. Function facilities are available for weddings, social gatherings, and other special occasions. Grab a meal at the King's Restaurant, ideal for business lunches and romantic dinners. Earl's Court Youth Hostel

The Earl's Court Youth hostel is part of the Youth Hostel Association (YHA) and is situated in a lively area with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes as well as being only five minutes walk to Earl's Court and Olympia exhibition centers and to the South Kensington Museums, including the world renowned Science Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum. The Hostel is a friendly place with a small courtyard garden that is perfect for summer barbecues, catching up on gossip, or meeting new people to travel with. You can hire a bike, book a tour with the YHA Travel Desk at the hotel or just take a tube or just chill in the TV Lounge or reading room. Beds for adults start at 22 Pounds.

Within the pristine white walls of this edifice lies a great mélange of style, comfort and luxury. Rasool Court Hotel, a famous budget hotel is comfortably housed close to Earl's Court underground. It's a family-run establishment, which welcomes families, travellers and tourists. It's a perfect hotel to check in, when you don't have the luxury to spend too much and yet be satisfied with the provisions.

Cranley Gardens Hotel

Cranley Gardens Hotel has been tastefully converted from four adjoining period buildings, and is decorated and furnished to a high standard. The hotel itself is down a quiet side street, but is still close to a plethora of nearby attractions. These include Knightsbridge with its famous restaurants and shops (including Harrods), the South Kensington museums, the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace and Gardens and the West End.

The Cranley

The Cranley was built in 1870 and each of its recently refurbished bedrooms has been individually decorated, many with antique furniture. Despite the latter day feel of this four-star hotel, rooms feature up-to-date facilities including Internet access television, voice-mail and ISDN lines. The hotel is conveniently located for the West End, Knightsbridge and many of London's other attractions. There are also 10 apartment-type rooms with kitchens, some suitable for families of four or more. Although the hotel has no restaurant, room service is provided.

Kensington Guest House

Small, family-run guest house a couple of minutes from Holland Park and close to Portobello Road Market. The 'A2 airbus' to Heathrow airport and an all night bus service stop outside the house. All the rooms are twin, but can be converted into doubles, and several can be made into family rooms. All have their own cooking facilities, so this is an ideal option for families wanting the freedom to make their own meals. Good budget accommodation in a safe and pretty part of London.

The Ashburn Hotel

There is also a range of studios and larger apartments available for lets of from one week up to three or four months, also in prime areas. Astor's Kensington

The Astor hostels were established in 1974 as the first independent youth hostels in London. The Kensington Hostel is the largest of the Astor hostels but has a friendly, vibrant atmosphere. It has a variety of room types, some en suite, and overlooks a pleasant leafy square. It's conveniently placed for many of London's sights and sounds.
