La Chinoiserie

You can drop in at this inviting little restaurant and bar at the Hyatt Regency Paris:  Madeleine, as it remains open for breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as tea-time and for snacks. With a skylight and a fireplace which is very Parisian, the decor of the restaurant is warm and friendly. The huge couches and armchairs with low tables are a nice place to settle in with a drink and leisurely catch up on the latest news! The food is strictly contemporary and essentially French, and the bar can provide you with the right drink to go with your meal.

Senderens

Senderens, formerly Lucas Carton, is the place to go if you're looking for contemporary French cuisine. Dishes prepared under the expert advice of Chef Alain Senderens who is known to have created the nouvelle cuisine genre in the French culinary world, make for an exceptional experience. What adds special charm to it is the fact that every course has a complimentary wine with it which is carefully chosen to bring out the flavor of the dishes. A sushi bar and a tapas bar aggravate the modern feel and make the whole experience an eclectic one. The prices might seem a little expensive so be prepared to pay well for this treat!

Chez Clément Marbeuf

After strolling along Champs-Élysées and visiting the Grand Palais, stop by at this eatery to give your sore feet some rest. Vibrant hues and checkered chairs define the rustic interiors, which lend the restaurant a relaxed ambience. The Duck in Cider Juice is a favorite among patrons. Also check out the shellfish and children's menus. Don't forget to end your meal with one of the mouth watering desserts; the Miss Marple's Apple Crumble is delicious.

Tante Louise

This restaurant, part of the Bernard Loiseau group of restaurants, is one of the many well-known features of the 8th arrondissement. Done up in typical 1930s style with burgundy chairs and stained glass paintings staring down at you, the one thing that earns it its patrons is the delightful dishes that make up the menu. Market-fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods, will make your dining experience top-notch! Common French favorites are presented to you by a courteous staff. The desserts are a must-try too so dine like the French do - with petit portions!

Restaurant Alain Ducasse (Plaza Athénée)

A lot of thought has gone into creating this fine dining venue. The attention paid to detail is visible in the food, the drinks, as well as the décor. Designer Patrick Jouin has worked up an interesting combination, which throws light on contemporary design elements and Alain Ducasse's fusion French fare. Food is well flavored and the staff is warm. The wine menu crafted by Gérard Margeon is extensive, yet not complicated. L' Angle du Faubourg

Whether it is a business lunch or a casual dinner, this venue can be a good choice. Emphasis is laid on pairing wine with food. The main menu changes every six weeks, making sure that you try something new each time you drop by. The prix-fixe menu changes daily. The wine menu offers a wide choice leading you along a journey of the discovery of fine wines. A basement cellar boasts of a huge collection of bottles. The Michelin star is its well deserved award.

Cafe Lenotre

Located on one of the most well-known venues in Paris - Champs-Élysées, this relatively new restaurant offers a unique experience to its guests. It is housed in Le Pavillon Élysée, which is a haven for all things gastronomical - it includes a cooking school as well as Le Comptoir, which is a venture more or less like Café Lenôtre. The decor at this restaurant is chic and modern, which makes a perfect setting to dine in. Dishes, such as Cream of Pumpkin with Truffle Oil and Hamburger with Foie Gras are only a few examples from the exquisite menu. There is an effort to blend fine dining with modern methods and new ideas, and the result is the wonderful experience of an eclectic mix!

Le Carpaccio

This restaurant, located at the luxurious hotel Royal Monceau is a paradise for Italian food lovers. The dishes reek of Mediterranean fragrances and Provencal blends. Recently awarded the Michelin star, the fine decor with Murano chandeliers deserves every bit of the elite status. The prices are a little higher than the usual, but considering the quality of the food and ambience, there's not much left to complain!

Le CPH-Copenhague

A great location, unique Franco-Danish cooking and a truly elegant decor make Le Copenhague one of the most well-known restaurants in the whole of Paris. The main dining room done up in chic white and wooden interiors offers some remarkable views of the Champs-Élysées while the refreshing terrace outside overlooks the Flora Danica restaurant on the ground floor. Specialities include Damier de Saumon and Tartare de Saint-Pierre among others. The French menu includes traditional favorites, which can be complimented with a good wine list and an equally good selection of cheese and desserts. Le Cinq

A dinner at Le Cinq can give you a good idea of what fine French dining is all about. With a decor that resembles the dining room of a royal palace - carpeted floors, elegant chandeliers, ornate adornments et al, this restaurant is probably the best place to go with someone whom you really want to impress; that is, if you're willing to spend a good amount! The food, prepared under the expert supervision of well-known Philippe Legendre includes traditional French classics that are made, garnished and presented with all the charm and etiquette that the French are known for! The atmosphere is rich with an elite crowd and views of the hotel's courtyard and garden. With all of this, three Michelin stars seem inadequate!

Le Jardin

Dining at Le Jardin is like taking a tour of the beautiful garden that surrounds it. Located right in he middle of Hôtel Royal Monceau's garden area, it's a pleasure to visit the restaurant during summer months, as you could dine alfresco among the flowers and ferns, taking in every bit of the freshness. The main dining room with all the glittering silver cutlery and spotless linen exudes quality and class. The restaurant infact does have a history of celebrities dining here especially during the 80s. So make sure you're dressed your best. The food is essentially Provencal and puts the tarditional French cooking methods to best use. Prices are exceptionally high, but then so is the quality!
