Narrow Streets of Amalfi, Italy

Amalfi, once a great port city is the centerpiece of the famed Amalfi Coast. From Amalfi, one can reach any of the island destinations such as Capri and Ischia. Amalfi is a charming town along the coast with winding roads and cobblestone streets that lead to beauty around every corner. Surrounded by cliffs, the town of Amalfi is breathtaking from any direction of one’s arrival.

Spectacular Capri, Italy

Magical is the feeling one gets while visiting the Island of Capri. Known by millions around the world as one of the most amazing places in the world, the Island is as historical as it is magical.

When visiting for the day, head up to Anacapri and visit the home of Axel Munthe and take in one of the best views on the island. Especially, pay attention to the Sphinx located in the garden where you will find picturesque 360 degree views of the entire island.

A Trendy Cafe in Positano, Italy

Positano is always a must while visiting the Amalfi Coast. I believe Positanto has one of the most recognizable landscapes in all of Italy.

Watching boats dock and people stroll while in Poisitano is a must for any visitor to this small, famous fishing village. Take your pick from any of the cafés that line the promenade facing the sea and order an espresso while taking in the sites of eager tourists docking at one the Amalfi Coasts’ famous ports. With any luck, one may just see a movie star while having coffee at a promenade café.

Amazing Views in Ravello, Italy

Shopping for handcraft porcelain is an absolute must while in Ravello. In fact, shopping for handcraft porcelain is reason alone for visiting Ravello. Fine Porcelain from this tiny village perched in the mountains between Positanto and Maori are shipped around the world to some of the finest department stores. In this tiny village, one can choose the pattern, color and size of porcelain that will be passed on for many generations. While making arrangements to have porcelain shipped home, take in some of the amazing photos of dignitaries who have graced this small village of search of the same luxury.

Lastly, do not forget to take in the breathtaking views of Maori and Minor from the famous Ravello Cliff. Often pictured during the famous Summer Jazz Festival, the views are breathtaking and almost seam surreal.

A Great Meal on the Promenade in Maiori, Italy

Maiori, Italy offers one of the longest beach front Promenades on the Amalfi Coast. Often missed by many travelers headed for Positanto or Amalfi, Maiori offers some of the best sunsets to be seen in Southern Italy. Facing one of the longest beach fronts on the Coast is Gino’s Restaurant; offering everything from traditional regional pasta to the catch of the day, Gino’s is a must see along the famed Amalfi Coast. The Swordfish is a specialty at Gino’s with the owner preparing it only when caught fresh. If the swordfish is not available, try any other pasta that you find the other patrons eating.

After dining, cross the main road and head for the facing sea. The promenade that stretches its length is a great way to digest the mouthwatering meal at Gino’s and takes in amazing scenery.
