Sophie Amalie Hotel

This hotel is named after Queen Sophie Amalie, who in the seventeenth century refused to leave Copenhagen while it was under Swedish siege. The hotel was built in 1948 and opened under the name Codan Hotel. After a fire, followed by a total restoration, the hotel was re-opened by Remmen in 1986, in its present state.
