Hôtel Splendid

The dazzling white and wrought-iron facade of this old-style hotel rises above the Allées de la Liberté. Just a hop from the Palais des Festivals (where the annual Film Festival is held each year) and facing the sea, this hotel's turn-of-the-century charm goes hand in hand with modern comforts. All rooms have old furniture, about half with kitchenette, and most have a sea view. There is parking across the way and the hotel is surrounded by lively restaurants and some of Cannes' finest boutiques.

Azurene Royal Hôtel

This pretty hotel is located very close to the sea and in one of the most beautiful streets in Cannes that is partly pedestrian and flanked by beautiful boutiques and art galleries. The prices here at Azurene Royal Hôtel are reasonable. A continental breakfast is available at a decent price. Parking facilities are available by reservation. Ask about special rates offered for longer stays.

Hôtel de France

Hôtel de France is situated in a lively part of town in the middle of Rue d'Antibes, Cannes' main shopping street. The soundproofed three-star rooms are tastefully decorated in a 30s style: unique furniture crafted in burr, elm and maple; original prints and paintings on the walls. The hotel is refurbished every year. The lovely terrace offers deckchairs to while away the afternoon. After a large breakfast in your room or the bright dining room, set off for the Le Goéland beach.

Hotel Renoir - Cannes

Located very close to the heart of town, this hotel is just a short walk away from luxury boutiques and fine sandy beaches. You can expect a friendly reception and rooms decorated in the Provençal style with beautiful sea views. The great painter Pierre Renoir lived in Cagnes-sur-Mer, just a few kilometers from Cannes, in a villa with a view of the bay that he never ceased to appreciate.

If you're on a budget, then Alnéa is just the place for you. You'll get all the basic amenities at this small hotel. Centrally located, it is a few steps away from the train station, the starting point for many day trips. And just a little further, you'll find the Croisette Promenade and the Palais des Festivals. Shopaholics can have a blast at the numerous stores close by. And once you're done exploring the area, relax at one of the many restaurants or catch the latest flick at a cinema close by.

If you're looking for a comfortable and pleasant hotel, Hôtel des Congrès et Festivals is the right pick. Explore Cannes' beautiful beaches and take advantage of its great shopping while you stay at this tiny hotel. Although located in the middle of the town, peace and tranquillity are guaranteed as the hotel is completely sound proof. It also provides basic amenities such as air-conditioning and cable TV.

Touring Hôtel

This hotel is situated in the heart of Cannes, close to the main shopping area (Rue d'Antibes) and La Croisette, the beautiful promenade along Cannes' seafront. Rooms are spacious and decorated in either modern or traditional style. Some of the rooms are very large indeed, and have their own beautiful fireplaces. Even single rooms have large beds. The prices are reasonable, and the service is extremely friendly. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but there are plenty to choose from nearby.

Hôtel Idéal Séjour

A small and charming family house in a residential quarter, this establishment is only a 15-minute walk from the train station and the heart of the town center. With its flower garden, L'Idéal Séjour is a good place to relax. Without being ultra modern, the hotel is impeccable as far as the interior and furnishing is concerned. It is run by a charming couple and offers good home cooking; guests can stay here half board (meal in the evening) or full board. Generally booked out well in advance for the International Film Festival.

Cimem Assomption

Set away from the hustle and bustle of the town center, this beautiful building offers its guests palm trees and a sea view, which can be enjoyed from the huge garden as well as most of the rooms. Run by a community of nuns and laypersons, the Cimem non profit-making organization offers two-star hotel comfort in four to six-bed dorms or double rooms with en-suite shower, WC and telephone. A popular venue for training courses and seminars, half board is compulsory, or you can opt for full board. Mass is said at 6p in the on-site chapel.

Le Hôtel Florian

Shopaholics will love the location of this little hotel. It's on the junction of two of the best shopping streets in Cannes, surrounded by boutiques, elegant patisseries and art galleries. As for the sea, it's no more than three minutes away. This family-run, two-star establishment is a friendly place. Rooms are soundproofed and well-kept, and all come with a bath or shower. A generous breakfast costs about EUR5. Room prices quoted are for high season.

Hôtel Corona

This family-run, two-star hotel is situated in the town center amongst the Rue d'Antibes' beautiful shops. It is very conveniently located midway, between the beaches and the train station. The rooms are classic in style, pleasant and well-kept. All rooms are twin or double; 14 have a bath and six a shower, but none are air-conditioned. Regular refurbishments and friendly service have built a loyal clientele. Closed from mid-November to mid-December.

Hôtel Amirauté

This large and well-kept hotel is opposite the Cannes' train station. Despite the fact that it is located in a lively district surrounded by restaurants, bars and businesses, it is a peaceful and quiet place since it is soundproofed. Very centrally located, this establishment offers adequate accommodation at a reasonable price. Both the seaside Croisette promenade and the sandy beaches are a stone's throw away.
