This nine-room property is in a great location just a block off the busy Ashford Avenue. The rooms, though modest are clean and well maintained. They have vinyl tile floors, ceiling fans and safes and the interior decor is tropical. While there are no televisions or telephones in the rooms, there is a public TV in the lobby and a selection of books to borrow for beachside reading.

Atlantic Beach Hotel

Both the gay and the straight communities fancy the Atlantic Beach Hotel, one of San Juan's most popular hotels. It is housed in a comfy five-story building, which is right in the center of the Condado district. The hotel, while lacking big resort amenities, makes up with its great location. The rooms, while not luxurious, have tropical-style interiors with an artistic flair.

Located within the central resort district of Condado, the restaurants, casinos and nightlife are in close proximity. The famous Condado beach is across the street and Old San Juan is a short ten minute cab the hotel. Driving time from the San Juan International Airport to hotel property is approximately 20 minutes. This lodging option is for the budget-conscious and for those who don't plan on spending too much time at the hotel.

Casa del Caribe Inn

Formerly known as the Casa Blanca Hotel, this is a friendly and comfortable small inn. You'll first notice an inviting terrace shaded with tropical trees and local plants. The building was renovated recently when the new name of Casa del Caribe was given to the establishment. The location of this inn in El Condado district is very convenient for tourists and vacationers because of its proximity to the beach, restaurants, modern hotels and boutiques. This hotel is for the budget-minded tourist; those that prefer location versus luxury.

This excellent small hotel located in the middle of the Condado district is close to the casino action, restaurants and most major attractions. The building's focal point is its layout. The hotel was built around a beautiful colonial Spanish patio. There are apartments also available within this complex. A very good bet if you're looking for an affordable, centrally located hostelry.

The Ocean Walk Guest House is an affordable guest house that offers accommodating services and facilities for their visitors. The beaches and attractions are in close proximity. Inside you can relax at the bar and restaurant serving Continental fare. Or, enjoy your day by the inn's pool. Off-season rates, especially between April-October, are economically priced for those looking for accommodations on a budget.

At the Wind Chimes Inn,

At the Wind Chimes is yet another fine inn in the collection of superb guesthouses available in the Condado area and frequented by savvy visitors. The building itself is a restored Spanish colonial building. It is a short walk from the beach and the unique attractions of the district. In fact, you'll find that this little hotel's location is one of the best. Breakfast (not included in rates) is served on a cozy patio. WIFI available in common areas.

Beach Buoy Inn

With a name like the 'Beach Bouy Inn' you'd think this inn would be better known, but this less publicized but most interesting boutique hotel is unique none the less. Located in the Condado area, it has an excellent lounge and a large TV where guests gather to view the day's important stateside pro game. Some added bonuses for families include spacious rooms with refrigerators and easy access to the beach and to the Condado district. Note that children under 11 stay free with their parents.

Best Western Hotel

This hotel offers limited service. More a motel than a hotel, this facility is mainly a self-service operation, with very little personalized attention or extras. The rooms, however are very comfortable, and you can lounge by the pool and order up a refreshing tropical drink. Other conveniences include soft-drink vending machines, ice machines and cable television. If you are looking for a more upscale Best Western, try the Best Western Mayaguez Resort & Casino.
