Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing

This classy hotel is west Beijing's answer to the five-star establishments in the eastern Chao Yang district. Partly funded by Japans All Nippon Airways, the hotel features king-sized executive rooms and spacious 27.5 square meter standard rooms with modern electronic facilities and comfortable furniture. The restaurant on the top floor has sweeping views of the city.

Ji Men Hotel

Situated on the Xueyuan Road, the hotel faces a huge tablet inscribed with the Chinese characters 'Jimen Yanshu' (the mist-covered trees at Jimen), easily one of the most fascinating sights of ancient Beijing. Built in 1987, this two-star hotel has been consistently refurbished every two to three years. Established in the 1980s as a Sino-Japanese joint venture, this three-star hotel stands behind the CCTV building in west Beijing.
