Overview

Huesca is the northern province of Aragon. That means that much of the province of Huesca is located in the Pyrenees. Valleys, mountains, cliffs, trails, whitewater rivers, ski resorts, and facilities to enjoy all types of extreme sports.

Hiking. Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park

The National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido is a paradise for hiking. Here are the most breathtaking sceneries of peaks over 3000 meters, glaciers, forests of beech and pine, meadows , huge waterfalls and rivers full of nesting in canyons. Special mention to Pineta Valley where is located the Monte Perdido, one of the highest peaks of the Pyrinees.

In Ordesa park you can enjoy tours for all ages and all kinds of hardness and length.

Canyoning. Sierra de Guara

Sierra de Guara in the Somontano Basbastro is one of the best stages of canyoning in Spain. The classics ravines are, the Peonera, the Vero, the Formiga, the Oscuros of Balcoes, and Mascún Gorgas Negras. To the initiated, the ideal is Formiga; in Oscuros de Balcoes do not need to use the rope and Vero is not very complicated. There are more areas of canyonig in the Pyrinees, bat the waters are very cool and the routes are more dangerous, for experts only.

Rafting. Rivers Cinca, Ara and Aragon

In the region of Sobrarbe, the two most popular settings are located in the Cinca River, between Laspuña and Ainsa, and the Ara River, between Torla and Broto. In the village of Ainsa, there is a center dedicated to these sports, Aguas Blancas center , where we can gather information, rent equipment, participate in various activities ...
In the same area, can be made quieter routes in the valley of the River Aragon in Jacetania, you can still enjoy some navigable sections: Astun-Rioseta, Canfranc-Villanúa, Villanúa-Jaca and Jaca-Puente la Reina Yesa.

Paragliding. Castejón de Sos

Castejón of Sos has become one of the meccas of the European paragliding. There are more than 4-offs and several landing zones in terms of Castejón, Bisaurri, Chia, and Villanova.
You need to go trough a paragliding center if you want to enjoy this sport. The best one is Parapente Pirineos Sport Center.
