Element

Huge neon strobe lights, ample space and slick interiors represent the glamorous side of Element. Apart from being a snazzy bar frequented by celebrities, it also hosts various glitzy events like the US Weekly's ‘Hot Young Hollywood Awards', Premiere Magazine's do and many more. Filming and production sequences are held with prior bookings too, and the enthusiastic personnel manage and execute any event with style and panache. If you want to visit, reserve your tables in advance, as this is a highly sought-after venue! Order cool cocktails and groove to the wild funk and hip hop beats.

Mood

This venue is decorated with an eclectic mix of African masks, candles, mirrors, and elaborate carvings in wood. Contemporary cuisine does the rounds, and so do celebrities like Charlize Theron, Kirsten Dunst and Adam Brody! If you are into celeb-watching and autograph-collecting, get in the mood! If not, you can just shake a leg on the spacious dance floor, or hang out by the bar, because this is the place to see and be seen!

Citizen Smith

Citizen Smith is chic personified and the glamorous décor takes you back to the bygone Hollywood era. Furthermore, the central dining room is flanked by cow skin adorned booths. Dressing smart is important as lots of celebrities drop in often at Citizen Smith. This place has it all from private rooms, a full bar, smoking and non-smoking areas to outdoor dining. Live music is from Tuesday to Sunday.

The 3rd Stop

Remember Cafe Veneto? That's what The 3rd stop was once called. Well it may have lost its name but the taste is the same. The delectable gnocchi of old is served up. Are there any new additions? Yes, 36 beers, all on tap! The decor is changed a little but you'll get used to it. All the bartenders wear white aprons and the ambience is extremely casual with the usual pub fare. Go for the brick-oven pizzas and burgers, or the Seared Ahi. As for beer-lovers, make hay while the sun shines!

Social Hollywood

This stunningly classy restaurant reflects the glamor and bourgeois elegance of Hollywood. With 20,000 square feet space, there's a lounge area, bar, screening room, game room, and rooms for private parties. Despite the opulence of the place, the food is rather underrated—though a few creations are almost perfect. The decor deserves full marks. Celebrities are often spotted and Social Hollywood seems perpetually crowded. The service tends to be slow but with so much happening around you never get bored. Valet parking is available.

Republic Restaurant & Lounge

Walk into Republic and be liberated from the drudge of your daily routine. Watch the futuristic, clean-cut, sharp-lined architecture on the facade yield to warm, caramel tones in the dining area. The bar is especially charming with dark wood paneling compliments firm white couches in here. Settle in and let a sip of the exotic cocktails roll over your tongue, as you sample the shrimp and grits or slurp down the oysters on the half-shell. Graduate to a feast of wild mushroom stuffed halibut cheeks or a cowboy rib-eye, generously enhanced with a side of grilled veggies or potatoes done in your favorite style. Republic Restaurant & Lounge also has a sparkling event space, where party animals can let their hair down and shake a leg.

Lou

A welcome addition to the Hollywood eating scene, Lou on Vine offers contemporary American cuisine. This casual and informal eatery is the best bet when you decide to go out dining on an impulse. Although reservations aren't necessary, it would be wise to go early and secure yourself a comfortable seat. Don't forget to have the candy bacon, the armandino batali's artisanal salumi for dinner. Because there is no valet, the limited parking spaces can get full, but if you arrive after seven in the evening, you can also park on Melrose.

Cube at Divine Pasta Co.

Cube, a cafe cum store opened by the Divine Pasta Co. is a pasta lover's delight. The cozy red room with its flickering candles and alcohol free bar are small and don't house too many tables. Cheesy Italian pastas, paninis and cheese platters are available. Feast on charcuterie, wood fired oven pizzas and a variety chicken and seafood preparations. Once they have filled their tummies, diners can browse through the gourmet shop retailing items like sauces, easy to prepare meals, fresh pastas and hundreds of ingredients. It should be noted though that Cube does not yet have a liquor license, but you can carry your own booze.

Shag Hollywood

The extremely stylish Shag Hollywood was opened by the renowned Shereen Arazm. Described as a 'playground for the rich', this luxurious nightclub-cum-restaurant is opulence personified. Rose-tinted mirrors for the walls, leopard-print carpets and upholstery, glass beads and a Venetian chandelier create the ultimate sensory overload. The posh bar and seating arrangements make this the place to see and be seen. The menu at Shag may not be very extensive but with the colorful atmosphere and people, no one really cares about the food! Sip on a glass of bubbly, nibble on your mini-hamburger and mingle with the jet set all night long.

Providence

Subdued lighting compliments the brown and beige interiors of this elegant restaurant. The clean lines, which are interspersed with smatterings of artwork and ceramics, are inspired by the natural bounty of the coasts. Come and taste the flavors of the sea with ample selections of seafood prepared in contemporary American style with touches of French flavor. Try dishes like the soft-shell crab, Josephine's Clam Cakes, risotto, chowder and more. Accompany your mix of hot and cold fare with some wine from the bar, and cap it off with a popular dessert like the chocolate cremeaux. The menus change daily so there's always something new to try out. Bon appetit!

The Hungry Cat

The Hungry Cat has been meowing its way to the hearts of the city's phat cats! This modern, urban bar and seafood eatery caters to the Hollywood people, who love fish and alcohol. With an outdoor patio, horseshoe shaped bar, seating capacity of about 75 and a cool vibe, this place is ideal to chill out with your buddies. The fare on the menu has influences from the east coast and creations by chef and owner David Lentz, including the likes of tuna sashimi melon salad and the famous 'pug burger'. Don't forget to try the delicious cocktails like the Thirsty Cat Margarita and Dark and Stormy. Purr! The place is open from Monday to Saturday 12pm onwards and on Sundays from 11am onwards

Twist Restaurant & Bar

Situated cozily in the sleek Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, Twist Restaurant & Bar keeps up with the style standards set by the hotel. Glass showcases, chandeliers, polished wooden floors and red wine curtains give a hip ambiance. Varied flavors of Californian cuisine are combined to offer you sumptuous dishes—Twist Salad, Caramelized Ginger Chicken, Grilled New York steak, Crème Brûlé are outstanding. Of course, private dining facilities for about 40 persons is available.
