This small bakery is tucked amidst the likes of Fendi, Hermes and Bulgari in the fashionable Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki. Stylish and upscale this corner bakery offers fine pastries, cakes and other delicious items with fresh ingredients and Japanese flair. Stop in any day and you will be treated to an astonishing array of flaky cream horns, cupcakes and more. The shop is airy and light with light hardwood accents and bright glass cases that enclose their wonderfully unique specialty cakes. Ornate wedding cakes are bestowed with pastel colored icings and fresh strawberries and kiwi fruit. This small elegant eatery is located in the upscale Beachwalk area of Waikiki. Classy and modern the restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating and a menu that lends an Asian twist on traditional Italian menu. Selections includes Grilled Chicken with Crispy Polenta, Grilled Chicken with Crispy Polenta and Linguine "Fresh Lobster" and delightful list of delectable desserts. Head to this restaurant at Hawaii Golf Club for a lip-smacking pupus and sumptuous lunch. Birds of Paradise serves the finest of popular local and American cuisine in satiable portions. Gourmet specialties include the Prince Pupu Platter, Prince Club House Noodles, Prince Saimin. You can try out the Dessert of the Day or simply sip on a smoothie or milkshake. The place also offers a very decent, though not varied, collection of beers and wines. Frequented by golfers, this place is truly satisfying for your palate.

Lulu's Waikiki

With lots of friendly service, live music and views of the beach, this restaurant and bar is a popular gathering spot for tourists and island newcomers alike. This restaurant has got a great staff and menu that has memorable selections that include Pan roasted Shrimp with macadamia Nut Pesto Pasta, Wood Grilled Ahi Steak and more. Breakfast is wonderfully unique here with Pineapple Pancakes, Maui gold Pineapple, Fresh Island papaya and fresh coffee. Best of all it's all very family friendly.

Tudo de Bom

Located on the upper level of the McCully Shopping Center just across the Ala Wai from Waikiki, this restaurant is like no other on the island. It's a Brazilian twist on the buffet concept. There is a wonderful salad and Brazilian buffet along with non-strop offerings of skewered grilled meat. The buffet features items that include Fish Stew with Coconut, Black Bean and Pork Stew, Brazilian Pasta, White Rice and Vegetables, and even Cassava Fries. But the real show starts when you return to your table and waiters armed to the teeth with Rodizio or rotating grilled meats on skewers with choices that include Top Sirloin, Garlic Steak, Lamb, Brazilian Sausage, Chicken, Pork Loin and Fresh Fish. Ocean House Restaurant

Located in the Outrigger Reef on the Beach hotel, this restaurant is a wonderful upscale dining option for hotel guests, visitors and islanders. The plantation style setting provides an atmosphere of luxury hotels of days gone by with white painted walls, warm woods, and crisp white linens. The open-air setting and seating at the edge of the ocean makes for a fantastic view of island sunsets, soft ocean waves and the white sand of Waikiki. The menu is a fabulous collection of fresh island fish and tropical flavors. Delightful quirky and distinctly different from other breakfast spots in the area, this quaint café offers up a unique menu and setting. Located in the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel just across from the Ala Wai Canal and at the very edge of Waikiki, this small restaurant has a stylized French country décor and seats only about 40 people. The menu includes a fantastic Maguro Benedict a creation of ahi tuna and avocado on rice, The Apple Tatin Crepe with crispy cooked fresh Granny Smith apples and a yummy freshly made homemade caramel sauce. Doraku Sushi

Arriving via Miami, this latest creation of Kevin Aoki of Benihana of Tokyo fame draws a young, trendy and spirited after hours crowd who gather for specialty drinks like Watermelon Lychee Martinis and Tokyo Cosmopolitans. It is tucked away on the third floor of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, a couple of escalator rides to the doorway, but once inside most will be dazzled by the trendy modern décor with subtle Asian touches and a menu that will make anyone gasp by the mere magnitude of the selections. The collection of sake here is impressive and unparalleled on the island if not the country, just ask the sake sommelier. The specialty sushi rolls are grand, especially the Cuban and Doraku. Tapa Café

If you're the kind who thinks breakfast is the most important meal of the day, then Tapa Café is for you! This casual cafe by the poolside serves continental breakfast, cappuccino's and light snacks every morning. The à la carte menu item include bagels, waffles, eggs, meats, sandwiches and pancakes. You can also ask for some freshly squeezed fruit juices. The idea is to enjoy a light meal in a casual open-air setting before hitting the beaches of Hawaii.
