Keurbooms Strand Beach

Keurbooms Strand (Beach) located within 5km of Plettenberg Bay is a great beach. The kilometers of beach make for great walks along the coast. Parking is a problem in the area, due to huge development and Narrow street, so car pooling, walking or using bicycles are a good idea. The fishing is also very good anywhere along this coast so be sure to pack your gear if you are an avid fisherman.

Keurbooms River Adventures

The Keurbooms river offers adventure for the whole family. From ferry trips to motor boat or Canoe hire, there is everything you could possibly need to enjoy a day on the river. The higher inland you travel with the river the more beautiful it gets. Along the route there are picnic spots and even flushing toilets set up by SANparks. Things to remember when canoing up the river: The weather in Plettenberg Bay can be sunny one moment and windy or rainy the next, always take warm clothing and be prepared to row hard on your return trip if the wind suddenly came up. There is also no cellphone signal between the mountains so emergency calls are almost impossible. Take a life jacket and be safe ;-)
