Menorca - The Best of;

El Pino Apartment, Es Castell

I have stayed at this apartment, called El Pino in Es Castell, Menorca, several times now. It offers the BEST views of the sea, harbour and town than anywhere else I have stayed on this beautiful island. The apartment is full of character, artistically decorated to a really high standard and very spacious. We take the whole family as it sleeps 6 (3 bedrooms), which works out to be excellent value. It is a 30 second walk to the harbour, restaurants and shops. The ferry port to take you to central Mahon is on the doorstep. I wouldn't stay anywhere else now I've found this gem!!

Binibequer Beach

This is a lovely beach as it is always clean, very wide, secluded and quiet most of the time. It’s very safe and has facilities, a car park, restaurant and sun loungers to rent. Whenever I have visited it has not been at all touristy.

Mahon

Mahon is the City of Menorca. The main reason I adore this City is that it is very small - more like a bustling town. It offers everything you want from an old character city - Beautiful architecture, narrow cobbled streets leading to small atmospheric squares of coffee drinking people-watchers, live music, shops and tapas restaurants. You can easily walk around Mahon in a day, though if you're staying in Menorca, you really should spend the evening here too. There is always something going on to watch in the streets for free, as well as the fashionable bars and fantastic restaurants to sample. In my opinion, Mahon is a sophisticated City that offers everything you want without any of the typical city nasties!

Biniarroca Restaurante

Binniarroca is a fantastic restaurant serving beautiful food in a very intimate, romantic, outdoor setting. This is a gastronomic experience & would suit ‘foodies’ like myself! All ingredients are locally sourced and this is evident in the quality of the dishes. This is a great restaurant for large families having a get-together, romantic couples and groups of friends alike. The setting, food, service and ambience provides a truly memorable experience very typical of fine alfresco dining on Menorca.

Akelarre Jazz Dance Club S.l.

This is one of many venues to visit whilst in Mahon, Menorca. This has to be one of my favourites though. The venue is split into various sections, some cave-like, others slightly outdoors as well as a main spacious indoor area. The hold a variety of live music performances, mainly jazz by truly talented musicians. There is always a wonderfully friendly, international atmosphere, you can be sure of a really great evening, even if you’re not a massive jazz enthusiast.
