Alhambra

The Arabian invaded Spain since 7th to 15th Century. They were a very smart civilization and they built some of the most wondering places that you can ever meet.

Firs of all for its greatness and amazing beauty is "La Alhambra" in Granada. It was built at the end of 9th century as a forth, but afterwards it was reformed as a castle and a city too. The gardens of The Alhambra ( red castle in Arabian) are filled with a very interesting cooling system made with water fountains, A revolution in its time.

Mezquita

La Mezquita of Córdoba was built at the end of 8th century over an ancient visigothic and roman temple. The most beautiful part is the room with the red and white arcs. In fact these were the harem rooms for the women of the califa.

La Giralda

It was the 14th century when the Sevilla mesquite was built. Unfortunately all what rests of that marvelous palace is La Giralda (The Golden Tower). But its a magnificent example of what this palace was.

Monasterio de Guadalupe

The other great sample of this mix of architectonic styles , called "Mudéjar", is The Monasterio de Santa Maria de Guadalupe, in Cáceres. if you look at the picture, no comments are needed..., is the perfect fusion of the three styles.

Alcázar de Sevilla.

In the last two centuries of moorish domination, the architecture was mixed with romanic and gothic. A perfect sample of this mix is the Alcázar de Sevilla. It seems like a 100% romanic castle but inside its plenty of moorish ornamentation. A great place to visit.
