Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Memorial

Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra was hailed as the "Father of Independence" for his role in freeing the nation from the colonial power. He then became the first Prime Minister of Malaysia. Once his official residence, this memorial is located in an expansive built-up area of 110,000 square feet, making it the largest memorial in the world. Housed in a sprawling complex consisting of three main buildings, it provides a permanent archive for all materials belonging or relating to the late leader. The exhibition area covers the many aspects of his life.

Maybank Numismatic Museum

Located on the first floor of the Menara Maybank, this museum houses an impressive collection of numismatic items, notably coins and notes of various denominations. Interestingly, some of them date all the way back to the Malacca Sultanate era. Opened in 1988, this museum was set up to preserve the country's currency heritage. The museum also serves as a center for research into Malaysia's numismatic history. Visitors are not allowed to take photographs, but there are postcards and brochures depicting the collection.

Bank Negara Money Museum

Established in 1989, this museum focuses on the history of money. Located within the Central Bank building, it features an impressive collection of different denominations of Malaysian currency through the years. Also on display are interesting commemorative coins, rare and antique coins, foreign currency and other artifacts relating to the money system. Apart from showcasing 'money matters' exhibits, it also stores Bank Negara's collection of artworks and art objects. Admission is Free!!

National Science Centre

Experience a scientific journey within this huge green dome-shaped building. The center features many exciting hands-on interactive science exhibits, which are divided into nine different galleries. The journey into this futuristic four-storey complex begins with a walk through an overhead tropical freshwater aquarium, followed by the Environmental Odyssey unravellings the threats faced by our tropical environment. Children will find delight in the Children's Exploration Center. Among other facilities are a multimedia library, auditoriums, a cafeteria and a Science Shop.

Art Folio

This is a fine gallery situated in a popular and exciting shopping complex. Art Folio features a collection of distinctive masterpieces capturing the inspiration of Asia's natural beauty, all created by Asian artists. The gallery displays a wide array of watercolor paintings, oil paintings and ceramics. Prices of art pieces range from MYR80 to as high as MYR18,000.

Tun Abdul Razak Memorial

This memorial was once the official residence of the late Tun Abdul Razak, the second prime minister of Malaysia who was hailed as the "father of development." Built in October 1961, the property was converted into a memorial to honor his vast contributions to the development of the nation and its people. This impressive building holds a wide collection of his personal artifacts, documents and reading materials. The interior displays his rooms set with original furniture and his private collection of walking sticks. Outside are his speed boat and golf cart. Guided tours are available by appointment.

National History Museum ( Muzium Sejarah National)

Originally built as a commercial bank in 1910, the building was chosen to become a museum due to its convenient location, and its surroundings. The Moorish features and Islamic motifs of this tri-level building blend well with the neighboring Mogul buildings. In 1996, the renovated building opened its doors as the National History Museum. It now houses a permanent collection of artifacts and dioramas depicting the wealth of Malaysia's historical heritage, ranging from 520 million-year-old metamorphic sandstone to an eight-sided gold coin dating back to the 15th century. Admission Free.

Malaysia Islamic Centre

Established in 1985, the Malaysian Islamic Center is an attractive blend of modern architecture and traditional Islamic design. This gleaming white structure stands imposingly just next to the National Mosque and behind the Malayan Railway administration building. Housed within the center is an impressive collection of Islamic art objects from Malaysia as well as other Muslim countries. There is also a library and research facility for public use.

Shalini Ganendra Fine Art

The gallery, as the name suggests, was founded by famed fine art consultant, Shalini Ganendra.  Dedicated to the emergence of contemporary Asian art in various media, the gallery is known for its command over the various factors that determine the success of artisans. Creating a atmosphere that bring together a healthy competition, between artists, collector as well as critics is the aim of this institution.
