Take a look at the worldwide maritime history, spanning from the Greek and Viking eras to the present. The museum is full of interesting displays and information. Admission: Free.

The Rainforest

This is a gallery with a difference. Tapping in on the natural resources of the country, the Rainforest Gallery dedicates itself to showcasing rainforest, inspired art and crafts in form, materials and subjects. Some items featured in the gallery include: utility bowls and containers fashioned from driftwood, hanging tapestries rich in tropical flora and colors in batik and silk, paintings, ceramics, prints and drawings on the natural environment. All pieces are inspired by Malaysia's natural beauty.

Art House

Those interested in Chinese oil paintings, antiquities and sculptures should make a visit to Art House. The gallery is one of the most popular Chinese art centers in Malaysia attracting many visitors both local and foreign. This very professional gallery is beautifully laid-out and holds at least four exhibitions annually. Collections featured here are mostly from China.

The Gallery at Star Hill

The space in this gallery is compact and warmly lit. The walls are hung with oil paintings depicting Malay figures. A few are reminiscent of the style of some early painters, where the dimensions of the figures are exaggerated. Paintings of Malay (or Kampung) villages and fishing villages, still life of pottery, flowers and fruit, hang above cast bronze figures and stoneware.
