Vito Restaurant

This Italian restaurant is known for its extensive wine list (it boasts of over 900 choices!) and authentic Italian fare. Try out the soup of the day, or the salads if you want to stay light. But if you want to pack in more, choose from a menu that features such preparations as Salmore Affumicato, Vitello Alla Parmigiana, and Scampi Alla Vito. The cheery decor comprises starched white tablecloths, artwork adorning golden-yellow walls, and cherry-colored chairs. Moreover, Vito can seat a 110, so large parties can be accommodated with ease.

Malia

Formerly Shane Restaurant & Bar, this joint has undergone a makeover and now serves up fusion cuisine that mixes European, Asian, and Mexican flavors. It also boasts of a full bar, and DJs spin out happening numbers each night, but the service could do with some improvement. Head here if you want to chill out with friends for a few hours after work. If you are impressed with the food, inquire about the cooking classes held here.

Rustic Canyon Wine Bar & Seasonal Kitchen

Intimacy seems to be the key word at the Rustic Canyon Wine Bar & Seasonal Kitchen. Soft lighting, a vibrant atmosphere and elegant interiors make this restaurant the perfect place for pleasant conversations over glasses of fine wine—provided it doesn't get too packed. The twinkling candlelight, bubbling cocktails and low music make it a little more intimate. A menu based on the seasonal Farmers' Markets includes culinary creations like sliced filet mignon, pan-roasted lamb chops and winter root vegetable pot pie. Check website for various hours.

Pico Kosher Deli

L.A.'s first kosher deli is owned and operated by the Hacht family. As you enter, you will be greeted with smiling faces that'll make you feel right at home. The atmosphere here is simple and clean, which is perfect for a hearty lunch of deli sandwiches like corned beef or pastrami. Or try one of the fabulous homemade soups like the Chicken Matzo Ball or Mushroom Barley. All-time favorites here are the Beef Shish Kabob, Chicken Schnitzel and the Beef Goulash. There is a convenient parking lot on premises. No alcohol is served.

Joe's Pizza

In New York City, Joe's Pizza is a legend in its own right. Throngs of people can be seen lining the streets, patiently waiting for that first bite of their favorite pizza pie. This famous pizza joint has made its way over to Los Angeles tantalizing a whole new range of taste buds. What sets this pizza apart is experience, quality ingredients and unmatchable freshness. The thin crust Sicilian-inspired pizzas are made just the way you want them, when you want them. Pick them up or have them delivered; either way, it's guaranteed to become habit-forming.

Caffe Delfini

Nestled amid West Channel Road’s trendy restaurant row, Caffe Delfini is a traditional Italian restaurant with romantic ambiance and people-watching to spare! The candlelit interior is divided into two rooms, one of which resembles a wine cellar, hosting couples on dates and elegant families. Menu offerings include a variety of traditional Italian appetizers and pasta dishes, four different soups, and a strong emphasis on veal among main course selections. The dessert menu features a selection of house-made gelato and sorbet ice creams. Most patrons dress to impress, despite the dim lighting. Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends! - Paulina Kostruba
