Hard Rock Cafe

The Hard Rock Cafe is a worldwide franchise cafe, which specializes in American cuisine. The chain first started out in London, and it is renowned for delicious hamburgers as well as rock and roll souvenirs. The walls of this cafe are covered with guitars and pictures of music icons. On stage there is a grand piano and other instruments for live performances. Special recommendations include the Hickory BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and the Hard Rock Natural Veggie Cheeseburger. Catch a drink or two with your friends with some of their cocktails, beer or other alcoholic beverages.

La Cucina

Itaewon's premier Italian restaurant is conveniently located just below the Grand Hyatt Hotel. A wide central hall and lighted terrace seats give this upscale establishment its own character. Fine arts on the wall and orchid displays reflect the aesthetic sensibilities of the owner. Among the many recommended dishes here, one should mention the fettuccine and the lasagna. Beers, wines and other drinks are available in quantity and variety.

Thai Orchid, next to the Itaewon Hotel, is the one of the finest Thai restaurants in the city. All the cooks and the waiting staff are from Thailand, which gives you the feeling that you actually are in Thailand. Thai Orchid is famous for serving not only the best but also the most Thai food. If you go with a few friends, order different dishes and share them all.

Deutsch House

A taste of Germany in Korea! Decorated to resemble a traditional German beer hall, this has been a popular spot since its establishment in 1984. Comfortable chairs and large windows create an appealing ambiance, while historic 300 to 400 year old pictures contribute a touch of class. Although the flavor of the food has been slightly adjusted to suit Korean tastes, the restaurant is also frequented by foreigners. German appetizers, such as Sausage or Pig's feet with Paprika, are popular. Other meat choices include Robenbroi, Bex and Boddam. The less bold can always enjoy Cream Soup or a ham and cheese sandwich.

La Petite France

Established in 1992, La Petite France has proved popular with all kinds of customers, young and old. You may feel La Petite France is a little expensive, but it is accepted to be one of the city's best French restaurants. Try out the various dishes and enjoy the wines in this little bit of Paris in Seoul. Examples from the menu include onion gratin soup, cheese salad and a variety of steak entrees.

N-grill

Located inside Seoul Tower, this restaurant rotates 360 degrees, providing spectacular views of Nansam Park and the Seoul skyline. The decor is simple and neat, with comfortable yet unassuming furniture. However, the changing scenery views north, south, east and west are what make this restaurant one of Seoul's best. On the international cuisine menu, tenderloin steak is a popular choice.

Kayarang

Experience the essence of traditional Korean dining, with its delicate service and sincere hospitality. Kayarang offers the perfect first-meal-in-Korea for foreign guests. Opened in 1982, the restaurant is renowned for its cuisine, and it also presents Korean folk songs and dances. Try Jungsik (rice with various side dishes) among others. The decor features both modern and traditional elements, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. This is an ideal meeting place both for casual gatherings of family and friends, and also for more formal business meetings.

Vino Rosso

This restaurant is set in an acacia forest, which provides a romantic and tranquil atmosphere to enjoy fine Italian cuisine. With a big garden, and beautiful flowers this restaurant is very attractive. One side of the wall, which faces the garden, contains an arched window, so enjoy the lush garden views while eating. Special recommendations include Vino Rosso Pizza, Pizza with Chicken and Vegetables and Seafood Spaghetti. Alternatively, try the Roasted Lamb Ribs with Garlic and Herbs.

The Paris Grill

Located in the Grand Hyatt Seoul, the Paris Grill is designed to look and feel like a 1930's Parisian brassiere. Accents of dark wood and marble combined with fresh, contemporary European cuisine make for a sophisticated yet warm and lively atmosphere. A great place for dining with family and friends, the grill is also an excellent choice for business meetings as they offer private dining rooms for added privacy.
