Théâtre des Ateliers

The Théâtre des Ateliers is one of Aix-en-Provence's small theaters devoted to new and experimental plays. The staff and cast strive to present new performances to the public each season, built upon their experimentation and research during the preceding months. Through this work in conjunction with lectures, meetings, and public workshops, they hope to foster public sensitivity to the performing arts and the playwrights or artists who work in this field.

Salle de Bois de l'Aune

This venue has been utilized for a multitude of purposes throughout its existence, and now aims to present dynamic, culturally educational programming. With the aid of cultural and social organizations of Aix, the Salle hosts artist residencies and shows for youth and students each Wednesday. A variety of plays and concerts are also presented.

Pavillon Noir

The Pavillon Noir is a space intended for all aspects of creating a dance production; it includes facilities and resources for workshops, rehearsals, staging, and performance. It is the home of the Ballet Preljocaj, created in December of 1984, which performs on tour in France and abroad as well as fostering local interest in dance through lectures and videos, public rehearsals, classes, workshops, and performances in urban public space. The Ballet also organizes an annual festival in Aix-en-Provence with other dance companies and short performances.

Stade Georges Carcassonne

Stade Georges Carcassonne is the home to the American football team of Aix-en-Provence. Other sports teams frequently play there, so call for more information and a complete schedule.

Grand Théâtre de Provence

Grand Théâtre de Provence is a beautiful modern construction designed by architect Vittorio Gregotti. With superior acoustics and a gorgeous stage, the Grand Théâtre promises a rewarding cultural experience of music, theater, or dance. Look on the website for a schedule of upcoming performances.

Stade Pratesi

Stade Pratesi is a local venue in Aix-en-Provence. It hosts sporting and cultural events, including summer's Zik Zak Festival. Call for upcoming schedule.

Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture Jacques Prévert

This cultural center is situated just west of Aix-en-Provence's historic city center. It features a variety of cultural programs that aim to empower youths and adults alike in expressing themselves, discovering their abilities, and becoming active, responsible citizens. Classes are taught in music, dance, theater, and other arts, while occasional concerts and exhibitions take place to showcase the talents and works of students.

Il Piccolo

Il Piccolo Théâtre is a well-known theatre of Aix-en-Provence. Be it classic plays or contemporary work, this is regarded as the best place for lovers of theatre. With a loyal audience that comes regularly for plays here, the popularity and class of this place is undoubted.

La Figonette

This Cabaret located in the western part of Aix-en-Provence actually offers either lunch and a show or the more traditional dinner and show. The dancers are spectacular as are their elaborate costumes, and the food isn't too shabby either. L' Institut de l'Image

This cinema is located in the Cité du Livre. It organizes programs to educate the general public about various aspects of the movies-world. It also, holds lectures on its premises.
