Ocean Reef Club

The Ocean Reef Club is an enclosed community and an exclusive getaway for business or leisure. If business is on your mind, Ocean Reef is world-renowned for its gigantic meeting spaces and numerous services. Lodging options abound, with the Inn, as well as rentable condos, studios and villas for groups of any size. With tons of dining and recreation options, work won't be all you're thinking about. You can sail away on a yacht, lounge by the sea with the only living coral reef in North America or golf at one of their immaculate courses. There's also a spa, fishing opportunities, a fitness center, tennis courts and more. There's something for everyone. Come to work, stay to play.

Jules' Undersea Lodge

For the ultimate adventure vacation, spend a day or two at this resort. Formerly an underwater research laboratory, its one unit consists of a single bedroom and a galley, room for up to six people. Sitting atop pillars in the ocean floor, guests swim under the structure and through a four-foot-by-six-foot "moon pool." Room service delivers breakfast, lunch, and daily newspapers in waterproof containers. It is advised to book reservations early.

Kona Kai Resort and Gallery

This non-smoking, two-acre resort offers simple yet comfortable rooms that do not include telephones. The lush, landscaped grounds provide a soothing environment for those who want to escape from it all. Resort amenities include a Jacuzzi, artificial beach, lounge chairs, and hammocks. The friendly staff can arrange sightseeing tours to various locations. To add to the local flavor, the resort displays work by local artists in its lobby and office. During the high season, the resort requires a four-night minimum stay.

Holiday Inn Resort & Marina

This lively resort keeps things moving non-stop. It is also the home of the African Queen, which you can sail in, and Bogie's, an outdoor tiki bar complete with piano music. The resort has two pools, a playground and some very lively activity in its bars and restaurants. Folks come here to play for a week or more, park the car, and never look at it again. A two-story property, the Holiday Inn has a marina, gift shop and all kinds of recreation.

Best Western Suites at Key Largo

A most unusual resort, even for the Keys, this all-suites Best Western offers bi-level units, all of them entered from the second floor of this two-story building. You'll find just 40 rooms here, and all feature a screen porch overlooking the marina. The decor is attractive and tropical. Fishing and diving are the chief activities of those who settle in here, although porch sitting at sunset is another pursuit of importance.

Marina del Mar Resort & Marina

This Marina del Mar resort is sister to Marina del Mar Bayside. It includes hotel rooms, studios, one-bedroom units and a three-bedroom unit. With buildings from two to four stories, the resort offers a heated pool, whirlpool, lighted tennis courts, fitness center, boat ramp, marina facilities, charter fishing, scuba and snorkeling, rental boats and other water sports. There's an excellent restaurant and a gift shop. You can go dancing every night of the week at Coconuts Restaurant & Lounge.

Key Largo Resort at Manatee Bay

This 100-room hotel on the bayside of the Keys highway features all the amenities. Pets are accommodated, and the resort features a number of package plans. Rooms are notably large and offer a balcony or patio. The resort has a beach, boat dock, restaurant, bar and access to water sports. Fishing is part of that action, and you can rent canoes to paddle your party through the mangroves and sandy islets. Located near Coral Reef State Park, where diving is the primary allure, the resort features a thatched tiki bar.
