What could really be more Finnish than to couple a sauna with a bar? The spacious sauna is clean and comfortable and has separate facilities for men and women. Each changing room has a large fish tank and a mini-bar, and on the women's side there is also a cosmetics corner, including a hairdryer. The sauna has to be booked beforehand, except on Sundays and Mondays. You can enjoy toasted sandwiches, other snacks and of course beers, apart from playin pool or surfing net. There is a DJ five nights a week, usually playing funk, soul, electro or other relatively gentle music. Occasionally there is also live music.

Hype Club

Rave culture has again gone underground after a brief foray above. Naturally it centers at Hype Club, situated in the basement of Hotel President. Hype used to be one of the main rave clubs in Helsinki; nowadays it is one of the few. It is actually a number of club nights held in the same basement, which transforms chameleon-like into different décors every time. Each of these club nights embraces a variety of techno music: Screen is mainly house, and Labyrinth, Hallmark and Vertigo are more trance-based. All club nights have their own following, about half of which always consists of young students in their early twenties. Everyone is welcome. Admission fees vary by club night.

Oranssiklubi

Known to be a place frequented by youngsters, Oranssiklubi (Orange Club) is the right place if you're a live music fan. The club promotes upcoming artistes and supports their talent. Bands are encouraged to send a demo of their work, in case they want to be featured here. There is also a small bar with drinks to go along with the vibrant music.

Lux Nightclub

Lux Nightclub is an exclusive club for all those party animals who wish to spend their evenings in luxury. Situated in a prime spot in the city center, Lux is another successful venture of the SK group of restaurants.
