Lygon Street Restaurant

Named after the well-known dining street in Carlton, Melbourne, the three separate areas at the Lygon Street Restaurant, suggest Italian décor, using comfortable, plush red furnishings and timber shutters. Each location includes views of the flora and pool area of the Gold Coast International Hotel. The intimate restaurant leads into the piano bar, with the café alongside the pool. A café dish, Pepperoni Pizza, is easy for lunch, whilst from the a la carte dinner menu, the Moreton Bay Bugs, char-grilled with chive risotto and Roma tomato sauce is delightful.

Bellissimo Restaurant

For over 20-years the Lapenna family have been serving award-winning Italian and International cuisine in a friendly atmosphere. The decor at the Bellissimo Restaurant is traditional Italian, with a cosy, brightly-colored interior. There is often live music to enjoy in the 150-seat capacity restaurant. The Italian cuisine consists of hot and cold meals such as Risotto, Spaghetti Bolognese and smoked salmon salad. For seafood lovers, go no further than the Seafood Platter.

Four Winds

There are few places more spectacular to view Surfers Paradise's trademark beaches or the endless skyscrapers, than at Queensland's only revolving restaurant, Four Winds. The décor is similar to the Surfers Paradise lifestyle, casual yet elegant. The ever-changing view from the 26th floor provides an unforgettable experience. Not to be outdone, the food is also impressive, with the "all you can eat" Asian and Seafood cuisine, including entrées and desserts.

Grumpy's Wharf and Grill

There are two equally tempting restaurants under the Grumpy's name at this Main Beach complex. The Wharf Restaurant is the larger, more business-oriented restaurant, compared to the family-style Grill. Whether your choice if formal or relaxed, the same enchanting ocean vistas can be enjoyed from both venues. On offer are lobsters, mud crabs, bugs or fish and chips. If your choice is less grand and more budget-conscious, the Grill can offer cafe-style meals such as burgers, steak or fish.

King Arthur's Table

Despite the very English sounding name, King Arthur's Table offers a rare opportunity to indulge in some uniquely Australian cuisine, such as kangaroo, emu and crocodile. In contrast, the decor is very English, with dark wood walls, tables and chairs, reminiscent of a Tudor household. For the curious traveller, an Aussie sampler of crocodile, kangaroo and emu costs nothing much. Alternatively, for those with a mind for the more traditional, there are plenty of steaks, seafood, salads and poultry for a comparatively cheaper cost.

Yamagen Japanese Restaurant

Located on the first floor of the Gold Coast International Hotel, Yamagen is a triumph for Japanese cuisine. After enjoying your meal it is easy to see why it has held the title of best Japanese Restaurant in Queensland. The decor is traditional with metallic ceilings and wood tables combining for a modern, yet relaxed atmosphere. There are plenty of menu options, with the serving styles being teppanyaki, sushi or a-la-carte.

Arakawa

You will have a truly authentic Japanese dining experience at Arakawa located in the Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast. Separate areas offer you a choice of a la carte dining, a Sushi Bar or Teppanyaki style, where your personal chef cooks your meal on a grill in front of you. Of particular note is the freshness and presentation of the sashimi. A number of Tatami rooms are also available for a more intimate dining experience.

Fireplace

The cooking is done right before your eyes in the magnificent fireplace of this timber-paneled restaurant, Fireplace. Standing majestically in front of the stone fireplace, a marble table shelters the fire's cast-iron frame. The stone-paved floor enhanced by the occasional Persian rug, holds sturdy tables, chairs and antiques. From the menu try the Salmon with Pine Nut and Parmesan Crust, on watercress with orange vinaigrette or an Angus Scotch Fillet, featuring tomato chutney.

Domani's Restaurant

Domani's menu selection is as varied as the clientele, proving the versatility of this restaurant. The interior has a very natural feel with decor and furnishings encompassing a very earthy tone. Sparkling water is complimentary to all tables and each day has its own seafood specials. The menu caters for light meals and also has something for those requiring a more substantial offering. With meals reasonably priced, the Veal Parmagiana is one of many stellar choices and the Peach Melba and ice cream is a stunning dessert.
