This restaurant and bar has a chic and modern interior design filled with stylish chairs and glowing lights that dangle along the length of the restaurant. Bar Bosch

People come here to soak up the sun and fresh air while reading the morning paper over breakfast. They also come to have a drink and people watch. Known for their "llagostes," which are hot sandwiches, Bar Bosch has great eats and a welcoming atmosphere. At night the bar fills up with tourists and locals. The best bet for non-smokers is to get seating outside if available.

Restaurante Refectori

Formerly an old monastery, Hotel Convent de la Missió now stands in its place. This hotel houses the best restaurant on the island. The Refectori is housed on the ground floor and it has a minimalist decor but that does not influence the food served here. The wine list is sure to be the envy of other bars, plus the Mediterranean cuisine is delectable to say the least. It caters to the business clientèle as well as regular guests. Don't forget to try the fish for the main course, of course, followed by gelato for dessert.

Anima Sealounge Restaurant

There are plenty of restaurants with sea-view, but Anima Sealounge Restaurant is right on the sea. It provides not only unmatched food but also impeccable hospitality. The diner specializes in Mediterranean and Asian fusion cuisine and you will find some great combinations and signature dishes here. Savour sumptuous seafood while you relax, and look out at the beautiful bay. Team your meal with some great wine and you will surely have a meal to remember.

Caballito de Mar

Caballito de Mar serves rich and sumptuous Mediterranean and international cuisine. The extensive menu features many exotic dishes like 'Sea Snail in Seasoned Butter', 'Chocolate Cabillito Surprise' and many more experimental items. The place has one standard menu and eleven different set menus that cover the whole meal, right from starters to desserts. The decor of this diner truly spells elegance and class. The tastefully done interior is a riot of colors, ranging from white, yellow and red. There is also the option of dining alfresco, whilst enjoying the view of beautiful neighborhood. Engage in some people-watching while enjoying a glass of premium wine. From October to May, the restaurant remains closed on Mondays.

Restaurant Chino Alegria

Step into this restaurant and you will find the dining area decorated with traditional Chinese furniture and lithographs. Try house specialties such as the Rouleaux de printemps, or Riz aux trois délices. Restaurant Chino Alegria has a banquet hall for your private parties. Credit cards are accepted.

Forn De Sant Joan

This spot is the ultra cool draw for great tapas and original pasta, fish and meat dishes. Entrees include chicken breast stuffed with prawn mousse and mushroom sauce, cod with spinach cream sauce and spaghetti with clams and young eels. Set in an old bakery, the dark and mysterious bar has recently been renovated but has kept an old spirit, the Red Room hosts special events, while the Cellar Room acts as an moderately elegant dining area usually for larger parties. Each room at Forn De Sant Joan is unique and timeless. It is almost always rated as one of Mallorca's best tapas restaurants and is a perfect spot to act like a local and enjoy an evening out. The service is impeccable and reservations are highly recommended.

Le Taj

This Indian restaurant offers five different tasting menus, providing a wide array of traditional Indian cuisine. Each menu provides insight into the myriad tastes and flavors found throughout India (like the menu designed specifically for vegetarians), and the wine list includes vino from all over the world. In addition to the delightful dining options, Le Taj's decor is astounding. After walking through 300 year old palace doors transplanted from India, Le Taj's guests are greeted by stunning and authentic statues of Ganesha and Laxmi, the Indian gods. Le Taj is a cultural and gastronomic tour de force that should not be overlooked.

Koldo Royo

Chef Koldo Royo's namesake restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine with a hint of Spanish cooking prepared in a modern way. No wonder, this diner serves dishes like 'white beans with clams soup' and 'oysters salad with frozen sea water'. Be awed by the decor, which comprises of white covers and abstract pictures of food, while the courteous staff welcomes you warmly. Koldo Royo is divided into two levels, ground floor is the Bistro while the upper floor is the main restaurant. Soft lights and the bay-view completes the romantic atmosphere and sets the mood for an unforgettable evening.

Bistro Fabrica 23

The best thing about Bistro Fabrica 23 is its simplicity and perhaps this is the reason why it has been featured in many gourmet magazines and journals. This no-frills restaurant has a subtle and calm ambiance and the food served here is high on quality and taste. The menu is ever revolving with new delicacies everyday, as the chef prepares dishes only with fresh ingredients bought from the market regularly. The main emphasis here is on food and not on how it is decorated and once you taste the appetizing Meditteranean fare you're sure to forget about the presentation as well.
