My five-year-old daughter loved visiting a tiny fortune cookie bakery "factory" that offered free samples of traditional as well as chocolate flavored fortune cookies. She also loved browsing in the shops and was greeted by friendly and welcoming shop keepers who were ready and willing to recruit young shoppers by showing her a variety of goods including, fans, traditional Chinese pyjamas as well as satin coin purses and special easy-to-use chopsticks for kids called "cheaters" which are connected at the top and work like miniature tongs.
