Hotel Budapest

This hotel is situated outside the city center, but is convenient for the famous Petofi Institute. Unusually, the hotel is shaped like a cylinder. Its' unique shape makes it a clearly visible landmark from any elevated point in the city. It is best to get a room on the upper floors from where you'll get a good view. The rooms are all quite spacious even if they are shaped like slices of cake.

Hotel Budapest is located on the Buda side of the City. I must point out that this is nota luxurious hotel, nor particularly historical and we were a little dubious when we booked it. However, the rooms are spacious and very clean, the breakfast was excellent and the service extremely helpful. The other great thing about this hotel is the location. There are several trams that stop directly outside the hotel every few minutes, which made travelling around the City and getting to where we wanted to be was very easy. Aside from that, the hotel offers excellent value. So, if you're willing to forgo the art and architecture for location and efficiency, this could be a great choice especially if you're on a budget.
