It's fun to be in Paris during Fashion Week even if you don't have a ticket to the ready-to-wear shows. Many designers will be showing in private rooms at Le Carrousel du Louvre, a luxury shopping center behind the Louvre museum, including Issey Miyake on October 2, 2009. Browse the chic shops while keeping one eye open for celebrities swanning through. Or stroll the Louvre's art-filled galleries, then splurge on lunch at Le Cafe Marly (93 rue de Rivoli), located in the museum's Richelieu wing where a glass wall is all that separates fashion notables like Karl Lagerfeld and his entourage from the works of art.

The big mama of French museums, the mammoth Louvre Museum is housed in a former palace. The world's most famous painting, the "Mona Lisa", is here, as well as the "Venus de Milo" statue and countless other masterpieces from throughout the history of art.

The art that is in that museum is, well, one of the best you'll ever see in your life.

Paris was fabulous!!! I would go again, there is so much to see and do. Everyone was very pleasant and we didn't have any trouble with the language. The Mayfair is a great place to stay, full breakfast included and the employees are so nice and helpful. The location is the best, you can walk to most sites. I would recommend this trip to any one.
