The hotel Moskva ("Moscow") is one of the largest in St. Petersburg and is located at the very end of Nevskii prospekt, opposite the Alexander Nevskii Monastery, overlooking the Neva river. The hotel complex was built in 1975 and despite extensive renovation retains a strangely charming Soviet ambiance. The location is very convenient, especially with a metro entrance attached to the building. The huge structure holds not only the hotel itself but also various offices and shops. Group discounts are available by discussion with the management. Room rates change seasonally, so check website for details.
