Perhentian Islands actually consist of two different islands, that are Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil. The islands are located 25 kilometers from Kuala Besut, not far away from Kuala Terengganu town. Scuba diving is a top activities here. Have a diving here and you'll be impressed by the natural marine life found underwater here - jellyfish, turtles, sharks and more! Not to forget, other than scuba diving, snorkeling also available here. Several popular snorkeling spots are Teluk Pauh, Tanjung Basi and Shark Point.
Going to Perhentian Islands just like going to other islands in Terengganu. Most people reach here by boat from Kuala Besut. The journey is about 30 - 45 minutes.
