You have probably seen hundreds of photos of Piazza di Spagna, one of the most famous in the world for its beauty and flowers. But while staying in Rome, you might visit it at night, when most tourists are at their hotels. You can buy toasted chestnuts from street stands around the square, which will to taste even better if you eat them while sitting on the famous staircase.

Piazza di Spagna (The Square of Spain) in Rome is never missed by tourists and it is considered the centre of Rome and its historic center. This place is always full of people from the early morning till midnight. What is so special about this place?
First of all Spanish steps. When you get to the top you will get a magnificent view of this Eternal City and then you can continue your walk to the famous beautiful park Villa Borghese. In summer Spanish steps get decorated by Rose flowers in pots and become even more beautiful. People come to sit on the Steps to eat lunch, to chat, to kiss, to confess love, to think etc.
Secondly Piazza di Spagna is a home of the Fountain of the Old Boat, beautiful building of the Spanish Embassy, designers’ stores and cafes, and is the place where many little historical streets commence that are also full of high street shops, cafes and expensive restaurants.

Lovely food

full of people, wonderful place! flowery, absolutely loved every minute of rome, but most the piazza di spagna. the best place in rome

Interesting to see a balance between ancient with modern; historical buildings surrounded by the hustle and bustle of a major city.

gorgeous and love the peope there

I Love the designer shops and the men that sell roses on the street. In the piazza men sing and it is wicked, i love rome alot, especially the shops.

lots of steps to climb very cosy everybody sitting
on those steps relaxing very nice

Best Icecreme ever! I loved in i Rome, although i was there only for 4 days. But it was great! The people, the food, the atmosphere even the wether, everything went great

a busy place , lots to see , have an icecream or just strolling around,. drinking capuccino or eating the many varieties of italian pastries

full of romance and adventure thoroughly enjoyed the experience hoping to go back and see more some time although can be quite expensive

Very beautiful and romantic at night.
The intricate design of the statues and the intimate location postioned in such a way that you just stumble into the view of this beautiful fountain.

you;d think everyone that lives in rome is there at that very moment. Un caffe macchiato while people watching and of course alittle shopping

One of the most breathtaking and romantic cities in the world. Enjoy a cocktail in Trastevera or find a chunk of marble to sit on and absorb the atmosphere at Foro Romano.

I likes how the piggions would fly and land on the hot cement. and the children playing in the piazza and the small pizza shop using a woodburning fire to crispen the yummy delight.

I enjoyed the scenery. The Gelllato was also very nice as well as the cafe's. Pretty old preserved part of Rome with nice restaurants and tourist things.
