The art isn't great but the cafe offers great views over the Thames. Simple menu, great coffee and nice wine.

The Tate modern on the recently regenerated south bank offers some of the finest examples of modern art around. It’s a fantastic day out!

Really interesting to see all the weird and wonderful pieces of art up for display, really aided my GCSE art course i was doing at the time

I liked most of the art at the Tate Modern. It really triggers your imagination and makes you wonder why the artists made it.

I love the history of it,the nightlife is extraordinary..dining out at an endless variety of places. The heritage of all our past...a superb place to go.

It's a museum combine with modern and tranditional arts, and the location is good just in front of the river and close to waterloo bridge.

amazing collection of modern art, including damian hurst, tracy emmin, jake and dino's chapman the galley is in a very impressive building

The galleries are housed in the former Bankside Power Station, which was originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, the architect of Battersea Power Station, and built in two stages between 1947 and 1963. The power station closed in 1981. The building was converted by architects Herzog & de Meuron and contractors Carillion,[3] after which it stood at 99m tall. The history of the site as well as information about the conversion was the basis for a 2008 documentary Architects Herzog and de Meuron: Alchemy of Building & Tate Modern. The southern third of the building was retained by the French power company EDF Energy as an electrical substation (in 2006, the company released half of this holding).[4]

I've been there once and it was a school trip. I found it quite fun. Hehe. Lots of different things to see!

They have a very large and very good selection of art work which varies from every range of artist and genre. Also the entry was free.

never been

A place with amazing artwork, and an outstanding piece within the manga section, something that blew me away, being a huge fan of Japanese styled comic work.

another amazing place

i love the tate modern. i love seeing all the famous paintings, exploring the different mediums used to paint them and seeing the many different varieties of landscapes and portraits.
