There are so, so many things to do in this area. You could spend weeks here and not get everything. My favorite part was the Holocast Museum. Very emotional experience.

The first city that you have to hit on your trip in the United States is the Nations Capital. When you visit you must see the Capital and the White House. So much history has been placed in this city. Also you must see many of the museums. Some that i recommend are the Natural history and the United States history museums.

Join fellow MIT alumni and friends on September 28, 2010 to start this exceptional 22-day 'round the world journey where you will see some of the most exceptional sites while enjoying learning and enrichment classes from world experts in culture, geology, biodiversity & conservation, and public affairs. Spend your first night amongst your fellow travelers enjoying dinner and the fine services at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel.

Keep in mind that if these dates aren't convenient for you, the MIT Alumni Travel team can arrange other programs specially tailored to you and your interests or schedule. Visit http://alum.mit.edu/travel for more information.

Located on the banks of mighty Potomac River, right from the enormous highways to the tall and massive state buildings, everything screams 'Capital' about the city. Washington DC is a well-planned and organized metro that has included open spaces and landscapes, amid sprawling technology parks, industrial areas and residential colonies. White House, U.S. Capitol Building, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Lincoln Memorial are just a few of the must-visits. Like the millions of tourists, do try and conquer this U.S Capital if you can!
