Serving the Buddhist community of Adelaide now for 15 years the Wat Rattanaprateep Vihara is a touchstone for Buddhist practice. It is a place of tranquility, a space amongst the suburbs for quiet meditation and contemplation. An old converted house serves this purpose well, with many decorations of Eastern Buddhist philosophy adorning the walls. There is an extensive library covering Buddhist related topics. Borrowing is encouraged to enhance further understanding. Friendly teachers are on hand to aid in Buddhist practice. Meditation classes last for approximately one to two hours and you are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing.
