Day 1: BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.

ARRIVE IN Check into your hotel in Zürich. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this exciting city. Tonight, meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers. (D)
Day 3: ZÜRICH–APPENZELL–LIECHTENSTEIN–ST. MORITZ.
A sensational drive today through some of Switzerland’s most famed cantons. By way of the market town of Herisau, stop in Appenzell to see the old town center with its Town Hall. Further east to the minute Principality of Liechtenstein. A scenic drive through “Heidiland” to the Rhine Valley before starting the ascent of mighty Julier Pass. Soon you’ll be in the heart of Switzerland’s largest canton, the Grisons. Here, see some of the world’s best Alpine views before arriving in St. Moritz. (B)
Day 4: ST. MORITZ–BERNINA EXPRESS TRAIN TO TIRANO, ITALY–LUGANO, SWITZERLAND.
Enjoy the highlight of the whole tour and a wonderful way of crossing the Alps. One of Europe’s most spectacular train rides begins in St. Moritz and takes you across the lofty Bernina Pass via the Swiss Poschiavo area to Tirano in the Italian Valtellina. Here, rejoin your coach for the journey to the shores of Lake Lugano. (B)
Day 5: LUGANO–LAKE MAGGIORE–TÄSCH.
Morning break in sub-tropical Lugano. Afterwards, return to Italy to savor the luminous atmosphere of Lake Maggiore. Day 6: TÄSCH–ZERMATT–LAUSANNE.

About Cosmos
Well organized tours and good value for money. Cosmos is the budget version of Globus (they are owned by the same company). The difference would be that Cosmos would not have hotels in as central locations and they do not have as many things included in the price but rather offer those things as optionals at an extra charge.
Traveler profile
Generally younger age range than globus. Average age of passengers is in the 50s (vs. 60s for Globus). But all ages will go on the tours. Most passengers are American.
Group size
Maximum 50 people on a bus, buses are usually fully booked during peak season
Tour directors
Newly hired tour directors and those with less experience are usually assigned to these tours to increase their experience
Hotel type
Generally stay in 3-star hotels. Not all hotels will be centrally located (which helps Cosmos keep the price down)

If cancellation is received by Globus before the final payment date of your vacation, your non-refundable deposit and Travel Protection premiums will be retained in addition to any airline-imposed fees or penalties. For individual reservations, the following per person cancellation fees apply. Total price does not include discounts, promotions, or special incentives.
