About this tour

Relive the days of the Wild West and explore stunning natural wonders. Head north from Salt Lake City to Jackson, gateway to Grand Teton National Park. The Teton Range rises sharply from the basin floor and includes eight peaks over 12,000 feet in elevation. This wall of giant mountain peaks runs for over 40 miles. Seven pristine lakes, created by glaciers, run along the base of the range. Watch for wildlife, as elk, moose, mule deer, and bison are commonly seen by visitors to the park. Travel on to Yellowstone National Park, the world’s first national park. The park is a geothermal wonder, including famous “Old Faithful,” which amazingly erupts on a set schedule. Next, drive east to “Buffalo Bill” country. Cody is home to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, which houses five museums. From June 1 to August 31, Cody hosts a rodeo every evening for your entertainment. Make a short detour on your journey to visit Little Bighorn Battlefield, the national monument that remembers the epic battle known as “Custer’s Last Stand.” Then, on to Sheridan, where you can ride a trolley or stroll down Main Street. Here you will find Western-style shops, taverns, and restaurants. Drive through the Black Hills and stop in the historic Wild West town of Deadwood. Continue south to Mount Rushmore with the likenesses of four U.S. presidents carved into the mountainside. Nearby, visit the Crazy Horse Memorial, where an entire mountain is being carved to resemble the Indian Chief Crazy Horse on his horse.

Day 2: Salt Lake City–Jackson.

Drive to Jackson. Approximately 270 miles.

Day 3: Jackson–Yellowstone N.P.

Drive to Yellowstone N.P. Approximately 141 miles.

Day 4: Yellowstone N.P.

Full day at leisure.

Day 5: Yellowstone N.P.–Cody.

Drive to Cody. Approximately 109 miles.

Day 6: Cody–Sheridan.

Drive to Sheridan. Approximately 150 miles.

Day 7: Sheridan–Rapid City.

Drive to Rapid City. Approximately 246 miles.

Day 8: Rapid City.

Return your rental car at the airport prior to departure.

About Globus

Group size

Globus usually books a maximum of 52 passengers on their buses. There is seating for 55.

Tour directors

Bus drivers and tour guides are Globus employees but your tour will also include a few local guides. Globus tours guides are very experienced (minimum of 10 years experience before Globus will hire them) and often spend many years with the company.

Hotel type

Generally stay in centrally located 3 and 4 star hotels.

What's included

Most city tours included which include the most popular sites in each destination. Optional excursions, special dinners, etc. are extra. Some meals included and some of the meals include wine, etc.

Free time

Leisure time is built in to most destinations. Even more leisure time if you opt out of the extra excursions.

Booking Policy

CANCELLATIONS & CANCELLATION FEES:
If cancellation is received by Globus before the final payment date of your vacation, your non-refundable deposit and Travel Protection premiums will be retained in addition to any airline-imposed fees or penalties. For individual reservations, the following per person cancellation fees apply. Total price does not include discounts, promotions, or special incentives. (For group reservations, refer to the Group Policy.)

STANDARD CANCELLATION FEES:

* 45-22 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of total price plus Travel Protection premiums
* 21-8 days prior to commencement of services: 30% of total price plus Travel Protection premiums
* 7-1 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price plus Travel Protection premiums
* On departure day and later: 100% of total price plus Travel Protection premiums
